With the continuous improvement of China's science and technology and informatization level,the emergence of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence,virtual reality,and intelligent robots,robot education and robot competition in the field of artificial intelligence have gradually attracted people's attention and become one of the main means for training and improvement of middle school students' innovation ability.At present,primary and secondary schools in many areas of China have introduced artificial intelligence and robot education into classroom teaching.Although most primary and secondary schools in underdeveloped areas in the west of China have also started related activities of robot education,there are still difficulties in implementing relevant courses throughout the school,due to the relative lack and weakness of teachers and teaching resources.Therefore,in the case of weak teaching resources conditions,how to organize interest groups,robot communities,and encourage interested students to participate in related activities such as robot competitions,so that they can better grasp the knowledge and skills of robots,and then achieve point-to-surface,which is an urgent problem for educators to open up the role of students' horizons and thinking and enhance students' innovate ability in the current robot education.This article takes the robot competition as the premise,and the robot teaching method is the foothold to explore the training mode for students in different situations.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Through reviewing a great number of literatures,a comprehensive quality-related survey was conducted for the students in the first grade of a middle school in the west of China,and the lack of students' learning objectives,learning styles and comprehensive quality training were analyzed in this paper.Through interviews with relevant students,the positive impact of robot competition on students,the current status of competition training and existing problems are summarized.(2)In view of the shortcomings of the current robot competition training,the demand for robot competition training mode design is put forward,and the specific content,implementation method and evaluation system of the robot competition training mode are constructed for the lack of creative training for students in the exam-oriented education.(3)Aiming at the lack of training materials for WER robot competition in the market,the outline and main contents of the training manual are listed to provide theoretical reference for teachers engaged in robot teaching activities,and provide guidance for students with zero foundation.At the same time,the design,practice and analysis of specific cases “launch satellite” mission are given,and 12 practical recommendations are put forward for teacher.
