Research On Social Support Status And Promotion Path Of Poor Families In Beilin District Of Xi’an

In the great process of building a moderately prosperous society in an all respects,the problem of urban poverty is more prominent in the process of urban economic and social development.Therefore,it is an inevitable requirement for social development to help poor families get rid of poverty and improve their living standards.In the long-term process of poverty control,the role of social support network in solving poverty problems has gradually become prominent,helping poor families to establish a sound social support network has become a good policy for poverty alleviation.Social support network is one of the indispensable factors for individual survival and development.By investigating the status quo of social support of urban poor families in Beilin District,this paper explores the ways to enhance social support of poor families,and contributes to the government,social organizations,communities and other subjects in urban poverty management.Based on this,this study selected 200 poor families in Beilin District of Xi’an City as the research object,and investigated the social support status of poor families.From the current situation of social support needs of poor families,the government and relatives are the main demands,and economic support is the urgent needs.According to the current situation of social support types,the scale of economic support is low but diverse;the scale of emotional support is moderate but the main body is single;the scale of social support is moderate and the intensity is high;the scale of employment support is low and the resources are scarce;the scale of information support is small and the intensity is weak;from the characteristics of social support,the scale of social support network of poor families is moderate and the gender convergence is high.However,there are five aspects: low cultural convergence,low heterogeneity of gender and cultural level,single structure of social support network,and overall close strength of social support network.Based on the above descriptive analysis,the author explores the influencing factors of social support for poor families from the dimensions of social support network scale and relationship intensity.Firstly,different levels of population attributes,family population attributes and types of social support have significant impact on the scale of social support network;secondly,the relationship composition of social support of poor families and family distance have significant impact on the strength of social support network relationship.Therefore,in order to effectively enhance the scale and type of social support for the urban poor,the author believes that: firstly,we should consolidate the content of economic support to ensure the basic life of poor families;secondly,we should link employment training resources to meet the employment needs of poor families and improve family income;thirdly,we should expand emotional support network and enhance neighborhood interaction;finally,we should play a role of social organization.Enrich social activities.Through the joint efforts of various parties,we can build a pluralistic subject and rich-type social support network for urban poor families.
