Study On The Application Of Group Work In Teenagers Support Of Urban Poor Families

China has entered a post targeted poverty alleviation times by the end of 2020.Poverty alleviation strategy in all aspects has won.In China,more than 800 poverty-stricken counties have been lifted out of poverty and absolute poverty has been completely eradicated.Overall poverty in different regions has been also significantly eased and qualities of life in poverty-stricken areas have been improved as well.China is still burned with a large population of relative poverty though.Relative poverty in urban areas,for example,is stricken by disease,financial resources,education,natural disaster,weak internal motivation and insufficient initiative.It’s necessary to continue the strategy of poverty alleviation after 2020.There is a strategy to stimulate the internal motivation of poverty-stricken population,and encourage them to play the main role in poverty alleviation work so as to cut off the intergenerational transmission of poverty.It means the children and teenagers’ early development is to be involved in China’s anti-poverty strategy.It’s an essential approach to achieve the above goals through cultivating teenagers’ aspiration.Teenagers in X community of Baoding City were selected in this paper as study target.First of all,poor families’ information was collected like the performances,reasons and needs of teenagers’ weak motivation.In this step,family interviewees are fixed.Then,professional and psychological group work methods are adopted to eliminate interviewees’ unfamiliarity,and help to build their self-confidence by establishing a social network around them.Meanwhile,professional skills were applied to cultivate their aspiration and stimulate motivation of achievement.Finally,the scale method was used to evaluate the intervention effect of group members.It was found that cultivating aspiration of teenagers in poverty-stricken family has a positive effect by group intervention work.It changed these teenagers’ misperception of uselessness of study and helped them establish a positive view of life ideal regarding the cognitive aspect.Besides,it strengthened teenagers’ achievement motivation and helped them have a whole picture of learning and future.What’s more,this study encouraged teenagers to discover their own advantages,enhance self-confidence and build social connections by the employment in strength perspective.
