Since 21 century,the reform of the western educational has been carried out around "critical thinking".The education in our country has been groping forward under the influence of the western country.When we look back to the previous Chinese Education,it was once defined as a mere humanistic education.However,we should also permeate critical thinking in language teaching,in order to make the students' aesthetic ability and rational thinking develop in a proper way.The concept of "task driven composition",which pointed out by professor Zhangkai,will help to boost the application of critical thinking in writing.While the general predicament of Chinese education at present is what strategies should be adopted to train students' critical thinking ability in task driven composition teaching.In this paper,the author will try to explore a feasible way by combining the previous theories and personal practice.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the reason of the research "he development of the task driven composition teaching and critical thinking ability",cards the research status at home and abroad at present,and sketches the methods used in the research.In the second part,we have made a study about the connotation of "critical thinking" and "task driven composition",so as to clarify the concept.In the third part,we probe into the importance and urgency of training students' critical thinking in task driven composition teaching by collecting data through questionnaires,interviews and other forms to support research.In the fourth part,the author carries out the research from my own teaching practice.The task driven composition teaching is divided into six steps by the author.Namely "study extensively,in quire prudently,think carefully,distinguish clearly,and practice earnestly".So the critical thinking of the students can be trained by specific teaching.
