As one of the important means to promote physical and mental health, physical exercise has been widely recognized by the public.College students are important reserve talents for social development. The heavy academic pressure forces them to live in a sedentary and sedentary lifestyle, lack of daily exercise, and their health is not optimistic. How to improve the exercise behavior of college students and improve their physical and mental health has become a concern of the whole society.Existing research shows that the theory of planned behavior,as one of the most successful theoretical models in the field of sports psychology, can effectively explain and predict exercise behavior, and exercise intervention measures based on this theory can effectively promote exercise behavior. However, many studies have shown that the explanatory power of planned behavior theory to exercise behavior varies greatly among different groups, and many explicit exercise intentions can not be translated into actual exercise behavior. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the factors affecting the relationship between exercise intention and behavior for different groups in order to accurately explain and predict exercise behavior.Based on this,169 undergraduates were selected as experimental subjects, and the explanatory power of planned behavior theory to Undergraduates' exercise behavior was explored by using literature, questionnaire, mathematical statistics and psychological measurement. On this basis, executive function variables were added to bridge the intention-behavior gap in order to improve the explanatory power of the model. Results :(1)There are significant gender differences in behavior control and exercise behavior among college students, and boys are significantly higher than girls. In terms of executive function, subjective norms, exercise attitude and exercise intention, there was no significant gender difference.(2)The theory of planned behavior has good applicability in College students, and its explanatory power R2 for exercise intention and exercise behavior is 0.74 and0.54 respectively.Exercise intention and sense of behavior control can significantly predict exercise behavior. In contrast, exercise intention has a stronger predictive effect;subjective norms, exercise attitude and sense of behavior control can significantly predict exercise intention.Among them, the predictive power of sense of behavior control is the strongest, and the predictive power of subjective norms is the weakest.(3)Execution function plays a significant regulatory role in the relationship between exercise intention and behavior, among which inhibitor function plays a decisive role. The refresh and conversion functions have no significant mediating and regulating effects.Conclusions:(1)The theory of planned behavior can better explain the exercise behavior of College students.Exercise intention is the primary factor to predict college students' exercise behavior.Exercise intention is most influenced by the sense of behavior control, followed by exercise attitude, and finally by subjective norms.(2)Execution function has a significant moderating effect between exercise intention and exercise behavior, but it has no mediating effect. This regulatory effect is mainly due to the inhibition of executive function. After adding executive function variables, exercise intention can better predict college students' exercise behavior.
