Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949,the new China is now looking at her 70 th birthday.40 years has passed since the open policy carried out in China in 1978.Whatever 40 years or 70 years,they are just like a drop in the ocean to the 5000 years Chinese history.But it has extraordinary meaning to the construction and development in new China.The magnificent changes in economy,culture,politics flood and reshape the Chinese people's way of living.Accompanied the swift changes in value and ideology,their lives turn to a new direction.This is the background of China's new era and the objective prerequisite for research.People often say ?three years difference on age is a small ditch,and five years is a large one? in the cyber world,and this saying is always used to explain the difference of concept in our daily conversations.Regardless whether three years or five years in difference is small or large ditch,the research has already proved the existence of the ?ditch? in the society.Though the sign of variety of differences from one teacher's generation to another generation comes up to the surface,the academic community still shows less concern on it.This study started from the difference in primary school teachers born in multiple generations aims to research if these differences of teaching exists in different generations.If so,in which ways? and the reason behind it.The meaning of its existence to teachers,schools and the development of educational science.These questions above are the main concern of this research.In order to answer the questions,the author collects the objects base on the teachers from five elementary schools in Shan Dong province.An electronic questionnaire regarding the teacher's professional development is made after basic investigation.When I finished the analysis and sorting work base on the data collected,I find out that a new group is formed in the teacher's community due to the same behavior,and they have obvious different part to the rest of the teachers.The author has the field interviews base on this discovery for further explanation on the difference between teacher's groups and the possible influencing factors behind it.The research finds out the teachers born in 70 s,80s and 90 s have no difference in responsibility and the idea in coming change of position in social class.They do have differences in teaching,class management,and personal relations which mainly exist in the fields of concept,object,content,method and the usage of information technology in teaching work.The 70 s have a so called "pragmatic" mind,they like to focus on the knowledge and exams given to the students.The 80 s with a developing view love to focus on the growth initiated by the students,and also the certain ability they learned instead of the academic achievement.This study researches the relations between teacher-student,teacher-teacher,and teacher-parents.These three generations have certain difference in specific dimensions.The relation between the students and the teachers born in 70 s is more authoritative.To the 80 s,more democratic,and to the 90 s,within the two types.After comparing the differences,the author starts to focus on the causes,then find out these specific factors including economic and scientific development,changes in culture,values,and population control policy,the reform of education and evolution on teacher's training.The author abstracts the images of the "three generations" from comparing of their work.Base on the study and research,we should be serious to the difference on teachers and provide with suitable training course.The academy is supposed to be managed in multiple ways for the pluralistic culture among teachers.We also need to know the policy guides the reform on education.
