Research On The War And Agriculture Education Of Legalists Before The Qin Dynasty

Pre-Qin legalists,as one of the four outstanding schools of thought in the contention of hundreds of schools of thought in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,left a strong mark on their thoughts and related practices in ancient China.Guan Zhong,Shang Yang and Han Fei,their representatives,made unique contributions to the diversified development of politics,economy,ideology,culture and education in the pre-Qin period.The unique agricultural war education of pre-Qin Legalists made the Qin State wealthy and strong,and enhanced its combat effectiveness.It laid a solid material and ideological and cultural foundation for the unification of the six states and the establishment of a unified centralized empire.The unification of the Qin Dynasty has profoundly influenced the development of Chinese history.Therefore,exploring the thought and practice of the pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education and understanding the necessity and historical limitations of the Legalists’ agricultural war education in the light of the social background at that time will help us understand the political,economic,cultural and educational pattern of the pre-Qin period comprehensively and enrich the study of the pre-Qin education history.This paper comprehensively uses the methods of documentary research,historical research and comparative research to analyze the first-hand literature and other relevant materials and research results on the agricultural war education of the Legalists in the Pre-Qin Dynasty.The purpose of this paper is to trace back the historical background of the agricultural war education of the Legalists in the Pre-Qin Dynasty,to explore the ideological and cultural basis of the formation of the agricultural war education of the Legalists,to analyze its educational purposes,contents and methods,and to summarize the first step.The main characteristics of the agricultural war education of the Legalists in Qin Dynasty and its historical influence are analyzed in order to better understand the thought and practice of the agricultural war education of the Legalists in Pre-Qin Dynasty,restore the historical authenticity,and provide reference for the agricultural and military education of today’s society.The research holds that the pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education conforms to the specific requirements of the times in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,and has an important role in promoting the historical process of the unification of the Qin State,but it also has a bad negative impact.We should objectively and dialectically analyze the merits and demerits,gains and losses of the Legalists’ agricultural war education.This paper mainly includes the following four parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly explains the basis,purpose and significance of the thesis.On the basis of fully grasping a large number of first-hand and other research materials,it clearly defines the relevant concepts and clarifies that the pre-Qin legalists’ agricultural war education is a social education,a big education,with distinct characteristics of social education.The second part mainly analyses the main influencing factors of the formation of pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education from the aspects of economic conditions,political conditions and ideology and culture.The third part focuses on the analysis of the main educational purposes of the pre-Qin Legalist peasant warfare education,which are to enrich the country and strengthen the army,and to cultivate the "peasant warriors".The main educational contents are the law and religion of "respecting peasants and warriors","Conforming to weather " and the "fighting to win the hegemony".The main methods of agricultural war education are "teach by law",interest motivation,combination of rewards and punishments,and model demonstration.Through the excavation of relevant historical facts,this paper deeply analyzed the pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education,which paved the way for the summary of the fourth part.This part is the focus and core of the paper.The fourth part mainly summarizes the characteristics of the pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education and analyses its historical influence.It objectively and dialectically evaluates the gains and losses,merits and demerits of the pre-Qin Legalists’ agricultural war education.
