Individual Characteristics,institutional Environment And College Students’ Green Entrepreneurial Intention

Since the promulgation of the assessment report of the first Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC)in 1990,there has been a scientific consensus on the impact of man-made global climate and the significant risks to human and non-human life caused by the greenhouse effect.Whether it is the policy community or the academic community,people have realized that the current production patterns and consumption patterns in Western countries are not sustainable.As a result,the government has begun to generate interest in developing a green or low-carbon economy,and green entrepreneurs are seen as a key driver of the transition to a new economic form.And the current iteration of the green economy has put pressure on the green enterprises(entrepreneurs),as its dual focus is on green and sustained economic growth.Therefore,it is of obvious significance to study green entrepreneurship to stimulate green entrepreneurship practice.This research mainly carries on the research from the following aspects: First,the variables involved in the study include personal pre-experience,psychological characteristics(four dimensions,empathy,social responsibility,green entrepreneurship self-efficacy and perceived social support),institutional environment(including control system,normative system and cognitive system)and green entrepreneurial inclination,Some variables have not yet developed a mature questionnaire,so learn from the questionnaire of foreign top journals,but it may exist cultural differences if it directly introduced,so there is a need for further processing and improvement;Second,explore whether a number of demographics indicators have a predictive effect on green entrepreneurial inclination,are there differences between them? Where exactly is it going to manifest? Third,does personal pre-experience and four psychological characteristic variables promote the green entrepreneurial inclination of collegestudents? How is the the catalytic effect? Fourth,is there an intermediary effect on the impact of personal pre-experience and green entrepreneurial inclination?Is empathy,social responsibility,green entrepreneurship self-efficacy and social support perception have an intermediary effect between personal pre-experiences and green entrepreneurial intentions? Fifth,What is the effect of institutional environment in external factors on college students’ green entrepreneurial intention? Of the three dimensions,which dimension has the most obvious effect on green entrepreneurial inclination? In order to solve the above problems,this study starts from two directions of internal and external factors,constructs the research model and comprehensively analyzes the mechanism of action among the various elements.Based on the main research contents and literature review,this study puts forward 12 hypotheses and uses SPSS and AMOS statistical software to test the hypothesis empirically on the basis of 260 questionnaires from five provinces.The empirical analysis of this study leads to the following conclusions: First,there is no significant difference in the performance of green entrepreneurial inclination among the four demographic indicators of gender,age,speciality and education,but the background of family entrepreneurship has a significant difference in the inclination of college students to start green entrepreneurship;Second,empathy,social responsibility,social support perception and personal pre-experience have a significant positive impact on college students ’ green entrepreneurial inclination,but the predictive hypothesis of green entrepreneurship self-efficacy has not passed the empirical test.This exactly corresponds to the triple benefits of green entrepreneurship(empathy--ecological benefits,social responsibility--social benefits,social support perception--economic benefits);Third,Social responsibility and social support perception exist intermediary effect between personal pre-experience and green entrepreneurial inclination.However,empathy and green entrepreneurship self-efficacy have no intermediary effect;Fourth,the control system,normative system and cognitive system of external factors all have significant positive effect on the green entrepreneurial inclination,and the effect of the normative system is the most obvious.Starting from two directions of internal factors and external factors,this study analyzes the influencing factors of college students ’ green entrepreneurial intention,constructs the research model of green entrepreneurship inclination,and expands the research category of green entrepreneurship: First,there is some innovation in variable selection.This study breaks through the traditional selection of traditional psychological characteristic variables such as innovation,tolerance for ambiguity and risk-taking propensity,and innovative select empathy,social responsibility,green entrepreneurship self-efficacy and social support perception of four psychological characteristic variables,which provides a new perspective for green entrepreneurship research.Second,it expands the research of institutional environment in the field of green entrepreneurship.After studying the relevant policy system at home and abroad,this study introduces three sub-dimensions of the institutional environment in an innovative way,and comprehensively studies the mechanism of the institutional environment on the green entrepreneurial inclination,which has certain pioneering reference significance to the subsequent research of the relevant policy system,especially in the field of green entrepreneurship.Third,from the internal factors and external factors in two directions to study.In order to make the results more comprehensive and the research content more abundant,this study synthesizes the contents of two directions of individual internal factors and environmental external factors,introduces them into the research field of green entrepreneurial inclination,and widens the research ideas of green entrepreneurial inclination.This study provides theoretical basis and practical support for exploring the green entrepreneurial practice of college students.As the famous scholar Purcell said,we have to imagine and demand a possible world,maybe this world still needs a long way to go,perhaps in the current conditions of the world is impossible,but it is also the right way.In front of us we need green entrepreneurs try to change the status quo,build and develop new paradigms,and open up new possibilities for a better life.This is the main research significance of this article.
