The history of chemistry describes in detail the process of chemistry from germination to formation of independent discipline and then to vigorous development.In this process,many chemical substances were discovered,chemical laws were recognized,and chemical methods were created...This embodies the wisdom and valuable spirit of countless scientists.The value of the history of chemistry is embodied in both science and humanities,one of which is embodied in the teaching of chemistry.The history of chemistry education is an ever-lasting topic.More and more educational researchers at home and abroad recognize its educational value and actively explore ways and methods to effectively use it for chemical education and teaching.Meanwhile,they appeal to front-line chemistry teachers to attach importance to the history of chemistry education.There have been many researches on chemical history education,but most of them focus on the theoretical analysis of the educational value of chemical history and the presentation form of chemical history in textbooks.The research conclusions are broad and not very specific,and the conclusions are similar and repetitive.This leads to the embarrassing situation that front-line chemistry teachers want to use the research results of chemical history education and teaching in the teaching of chemistry education,but have no way to start.This topic in view of the insufficiency existing in the study,according to the requirement of chemistry curriculum standard of chemistry concept teaching,to explore from the perspective of the history of chemical principles and strategies of promoting students' conceptual understanding and targeted use of chemistry history on chemical education teaching,precise matching chemical classroom teaching,fully embodies the function of chemistry history on chemical education teaching and value.This research through collecting,analyzing,organizing the related literature,understanding of the history of chemistry teaching and the research status of concept teaching,combined with the new curriculum reform advocates "dominated by subject core concept in teaching" concept,this paper expounds the background of this topic,research purpose and meaning,and the main concepts defined.Based on the theory of constructivism learning,the theory of cognitivedevelopment and the principle of concept incompatibility,this paper puts forward four teaching principles based on the history of chemistry to promote students' concept understanding: the principle of readiness,the principle of subjectivity,the principle of scientificity and the principle of validity.The corresponding teaching strategies are constructed :(1)assigning tasks and perceiving concepts;(2)create situations and form concepts;(3)trace historical materials and understand concepts;(4)solve problems and deepen concepts.To test this topic proposed based on the concept of chemistry history to promote students to understand the effectiveness of the teaching principles and teaching strategies,this study selected are ordinary high school chemistry compulsory 1 chapter 2 "chemicals and its change" "ionic reaction" in the second quarter and the third quarter as a material for development of REDOX reaction,a ordinary middle schools in guangzhou panyu district grade class two students as the research object,the teaching experiments.After teaching design implementation,first using the self-made "basic concept ion reaction 2-phase test" and "basic concepts to understand 2-phase REDOX reaction test" test students' understanding of relevant concepts,and then randomly interview three students with different levels of learning,understanding students real feelings on the introduction of chemical history in chemistry teaching.After the teaching of the whole chapter,the students are tested regularly to understand their academic performance.This study through the 2-phase test volume,unit testing and the analysis of the interviews,the following conclusions: this topic is put forward based on the chemical history to promote students' conceptual understanding of teaching principles and teaching strategies to a certain extent,help students understand the abstract chemical concepts,and based on the concept of chemistry history teaching can effectively eliminate the students difficulties in concept learning,stimulates the student to study chemical good motivation and interest.The latter is more evident in students who do not perform well in chemistry.Students' understanding of chemical concepts is a gradually deepening process.The textbook adopts a spiral way to arrange the basic concepts of ion reaction and REDOX reaction,which conforms to the law of students' cognitive development.Due to the limited sample size,content range,time and researchers' own research ability,the proposed teaching principles and strategies based on the history of chemistry to promote students' conceptual understanding need to be further tested and improved.
