With the promulgation of the new curriculum standards and the higher requirements for students' comprehensive ability in geography,it is particularly important for students to construct a complete geographical knowledge system.Mind mapping through visual chart repetition and imitation of divergent thinking can help improve students' logical thinking ability and learning efficiency,effectively stimulate students' interest in learning,and cultivate students' autonomous learning ability.However,the study of mind mapping started relatively late in China,and there are few systematic studies in the field of geography teaching,mostly for a certain learning stage or a certain class hour.From the perspective of geography teaching,guided by the theories of constructivism,left and right brain division,Gestalt psychology,Ebinhaus Memory Theory and Multiple Intelligence Theory,this paper systematically explores different knowledge units,different teaching links and different types of knowledge thinking by using the methods of literature research,experimental research,statistics,classroom observation and mapping.The design and application of mind map provide some ideas for middle school geography teachers to use mind map to assist teaching.It helps teachers to improve teaching methods,improve teaching quality and efficiency,help improve students' learning methods,and construct geographical knowledge system.It is verified in practical teaching that mind map can improve students' academic performance,narrow the standard deviation of class performance and improve students' learning.Interest is helpful.This paper is mainly divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly includes research background,research status,research purpose and significance,research content and research methods.The second part is the definition of concept and theoretical basis.This part mainly includes the definition and discrimination of mind map and concept map,knowledge structure map,and the guidance of the five theoretical bases of Constructivism theory,left and right brain division theory,Gestalt psychology principle,Ebinhaus memory theory and multiple intelligences theoryto the core idea of this paper.The third part is the structure and production of mind map.This chapter discusses the six basic structures and four design principles of mind mapping proposed by Tony Bozan,and compares in detail the steps,related software and advantages and disadvantages of three ways:hand-drawn mind mapping,computer software mind mapping and mobile APP mind mapping.The fourth part is the construction and drawing of mind map in physical geography teaching in senior high school.Taking different knowledge units as the breakthrough point,this paper introduces respectively the "knowledge point" thinking map,the "section" thinking map,the "chapter" thinking map and the whole book thinking map,analyses the characteristics of the thinking map of different knowledge units,lists the design process and ideas and draws a drawing with a certain content,and analyses the excellent students' works with different teaching links as the breakthrough point,and takes "Creation Place" as the breakthrough point.Taking the power of form as an example,through the application analysis and drawing of mind map by teachers and students in the five teaching links of pre-class,in-class,after-class,exercise explanation and periodic review,the author evaluates the excellent students' works.Taking different types of knowledge as the breakthrough point,the author classifies and analyses the geographic declarative knowledge and geographic procedural knowledge through cases,and puts forward the geographic declarative knowledge and four major areas.Procedural knowledge teaching and mind mapping related matters needing attention,and gives different design ideas.The fifth part is the teaching practice of mind mapping in high school physical geography.Taking the two classes of Fangcheng Middle School in Fangcheng City as the control subjects,the application of mind mapping in a complete geography teaching is explained in detail with the case of Front and Weather.The classroom reaction of students is observed by classroom observation method.The changes of average scores and standard deviations of geography scores before and after the experiment are analyzed by SPSS statistical analysis,and the use of thinking guidance in geography teaching is analyzed.The influence of maps on students' performance is discussed,and four points for attention in the application of mind map in teaching are put forward.The sixth part is conclusion and discussion.This part mainly includes research conclusions,research deficiencies and research prospects.
