Research On Curriculum Development Of "B&B Housekeeping Service" For Hotel Majors In Secondary Vocational Schools Based On "Competency Standard"

With the advent of the post-industrial era,people are increasingly pursuing spiritual satisfaction.B&B featuring "home atmosphere" and "owner culture" has gradually become a choice for travellers.However,behind the development of the homestay,there is a problem of the shortage of talents.The training of the talents of the homestay needs to take the initiative to train the secondary vocational schools with the goal of training first-line service personnel to help overcome the problem of short-board talents.However,at present,there is still no mature B&B talent training system and curriculum standards in the field of vocational education.There are very few schools offering professional homestays nationwide.The opening of a new major is not completed in a short period of time.The development of secondary vocational school curriculum is generally weak.Therefore,it is difficult to open a homestay in a secondary vocational school at the current stage.In contrast,developing a course is more implementable and easier to implement.In view of the similarities between the capacity requirements of the B&B talents and the secondary vocational hotel profession,this paper proposes that a homestay course can be opened as a second-grade expansion course for the secondary vocational school category.In the previous survey of the talent market of the B&B and the the hotel professional teachers and students of the secondary vocational school,it can be seen that the matching degree between the secondary vocational students and the housekeepers is higher.Therefore,the development of the "B&B Housekeeping Service" course has a practical significance in cultivating housekeeping housekeepers in the hotel major of secondary vocational school.Based on the research on the competency-based curriculum and the research on the cultivation of talents in the homestay,Based on the investigation of hotel major teachers and students in secondary vocational schools and the investigation of B&B talent market,as well as an overview of the current situation of the current homestay courses in China,the necessity and feasibility of the development of the "B&B Housekeeping Service" course are analyzed.Next,we will construct the development path of the course "B&B Housekeeping Service".Through in-depth interviews with B&B hosts and B&B housekeepers,the working process and typicaltasks of B&B housekeepers are obtained.According to the work tasks,the various abilities required by the housekeepers in B&B are extracted,and the training ability target of the hotel professionals in the secondary vocational schools is compared with the requirements of the housekeepers’ abilities in B&B.Secondly,it makes a structural analysis of the capabilities that the housekeepers should possess.Then according to the special ability training needs,match the corresponding module curriculum design;and design the corresponding class according to the difficulty level of the course unit,form the teaching plan of the whole course,and briefly describe the course implementation path and evaluation method.Finally,this paper takes the Guilin Vocational Education Center School as an example to carry out the practical exploration of the course.Analyze the training goals of the hotel’s professional talents,and meet the requirements of the B&B housekeeping ability,carry out the course content design and teaching implementation plan of the "B&B housekeeping service",and explain the content organization,implementation path and evaluation criteria of the module course.The development of the "B&B housekeeping Service" module course is a useful exploration for the development of new business forms in the industry and the urgent need for talents in the industry.It has important theoretical exploration significance and practical promotion value.
