Research On The Training Path Of Vocational Hotel Talents Based On The Competency Model

Hotel industry is an important pillar of tourism development.The World Tourism Organization points out that China will become the fourth largest tourist source country and the world's largest tourist destination around,and China will also become one of the fastest developing countries in the world in the hotel industry.With the rapid development of the hotel industry,the contradiction between the large demand for hotel talents and the lack of high-quality talents has become increasingly prominent.Secondary vocational school,as the forefront of training hotel talents,needs to change the situation that the trained talents have high turnover rate and low competency.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study how to cultivate Secondary Vocational Hotel talents with high level competence.Based on the existing research results of scholars at home and abroad,this study selects competency indicators by searching and sorting out relevant literature and interviewing hotel managers,hotel consumers and hotel workers,and designs a questionnaire of competency factors of hotel talents.Through reliability and validity analysis and exploratory factor analysis of the collected questionnaires,the common factors of the competency indicators of excellent hotel talents are extracted,and the competency model of hotel talents is established,which includes four dimensions of professional knowledge,professional skills,personality characteristics and professionalism,with specific indicators in total.Then,taking the tourism major students in secondary vocational schools as the research object,the self-evaluation of students' competence quality in four secondary vocational schools in Nanjing is known through questionnaires.The survey results show that the competence level of hotel talents in secondary vocational schools is on the upper-middle level,in which professional knowledge is well mastered,and there is still much room for improvement in professional quality.In the difference analysis,there are some differences in most dimensions,such as gender,grade and whether you have hotel-related internship experience.Based on this,this study puts forward a feasible path centered on cultivating outstanding hotel talents: setting up the goal of cultivating outstanding talents,carrying out various forms of practical training,establishing and perfecting the curriculum system of competency training in secondary vocational schools,and forming a multi-subject collaborative training mechanism.The construction of the training path of hotel talents in secondary vocational schools based on competency model can not only make tourism students understand the competency of excellent hotel talents,but also clarify the training objectives of secondary vocational schools,optimize the curriculum system,practice forms and training mechanism,and at the same time promote the level of vocational education in China,and achieve win-win cooperation among secondary vocational schools,students,society and enterprises.
