Along with the national tourism industrial upgrading and accelerating economic restructuring,accommodation has been expanding its market,the demand of technology skilled talents increases unceasingly,the hotel needs high-quality service personnel to support the development and secondary vocational tourism graduates have high employment rate but low satisfaction.The critical moment for the development of tourism vocational education has arrived,especially the hotel vocational education needs to change.What kind of quality service talents does the hotel need? How should the school develops them? How can secondary vocational tourism students improve their competitiveness in the hotel industry? These problems require careful study.This study on the basis of competency theory and man-post matching theory,using grounded theory as a tool,constructed a model of hotel service post competency for secondary vocational tourism students according to the hotel talent demand and measured these students' competency,then made recommendations about how to improve hotel service post competency for secondary vocational tourism students.When combing and analyzing relevant literature at home and abroad,it is found that the research on tourism vocational education is still mainly focused on higher vocational education,while the research on secondary vocational tourism students is relatively few.The research on relevant theories and models of hotel service post competency is also limited.Therefore,this study adopted the research method of grounded theory and divided the competency index extraction into three steps,including hotel services recruitment information for secondary vocational graduates analysis,hotel jobs competency models built in literature analysis and analysis of structured interview to hotel managers,guests and tourism teachers in secondary vocational schools.After a series of screening,33 competency indicators including local tourism and life knowledge,hotel product knowledge and business etiquette were obtained.Based on theiceberg model theory and onion model theory,a theoretical index system of hotel service post competency of secondary vocational tourism students was constructed.After the revision of the preliminary survey and the verification of the formal survey,the second-order structural measurement model of hotel service post competency of secondary vocational tourism students with 4 dimensions and 33 indicators was formally constructed.The survey was conducted on the secondary vocational schools in Jinan,Qingdao,Weifang and Liaocheng,and the competency measurement data of the secondary vocational tourism students in the form of self-evaluation was obtained.The survey results show that 50.35% of the survey sample students' hotel service post competency level is on the "good" level,which is in the middle level,but there is still a lot of room for improvement.There is no significant gender difference in the difference analysis of the self-assessment level of hotel service post competency of secondary vocational tourism students,but there are some differences in the self-assessment scores of most dimensions and indicators in grade,school location,major and whether they have hotel internship/work experience.In this regard,this study puts forward four countermeasures to enhance the hotel service post competency of secondary vocational tourism students: 1.to market demand-oriented,to develop students' general knowledge and skills;2.improve students' professional knowledge and skills with innovative practical training assessment as a tool;3.pay attention to the individual training,develop students' individual physical and mental characteristics;4.combine moral education with professional education to strengthen students' professional ethics.Through investigation and research,this paper analyzes the hotel service post competency of secondary vocational tourism students,and actively explores ways to train related professionals.According to the typical tasks and capability structure of hotel service positions,it provides certain practical and theoretical support for the development of hotel courses and future professional construction.
