With the rapid development of contemporary science and technology,new growth points and major breakthroughs in scientific research often arise from the intersection and integration of different disciplines.Interdisciplinary and high-level talents is an important basis for promoting the disciplines.With the increase of the proportion of postgraduate students applying for interdisciplinary examinations.Interdisciplinary postgraduates with multidisciplinary knowledge background have become a special group that cannot be ignored in postgraduate education.Interdisciplinary postgraduates constantly renew their professional structure,upgrade their professional level,achieve sustainable development and achieve professional maturity in their postgraduate career.The process is called professional growth,which includes three aspects: professional knowledge,professional skills and professional concept.From the perspective of constructivism,the professional growth of postgraduates has obvious personal and self-characteristics.The professional growth of postgraduates is influenced by three processes: assimilation,accommodation and balance.A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the professional growth of postgraduates,and interdisciplinary postgraduates were compared in different disciplines,different degrees of leapfrogging and different grades.It is found that there is a significant correlation between the professional growth of postgraduates and their interdisciplinary backgrounds in the master's stage,there are dynamic changes in the growth of professional among students of different grades and different disciplines.Interdisciplinary postgraduates in Humanities and social sciences are far more than those in natural sciences,and when there are common elements across disciplines,the transfer of disciplines is better,and students' professional growth advantages are more significant.According to the empirical analysis,from the internal reasons of interdisciplinary postgraduates,it is concluded that interdisciplinary postgraduates have practical difficulties,such as solidification of disciplinary thinking,weak interdisciplinary application ability,weak professional foundation,lack of scientific research self-confidence,unclear self-orientation,lack of interest in learning and scientific research,low professional identity,and need to improve their academic attitude.Through the analysis of typical cases,it is found that the interdisciplinary background of Postgraduates may not only have many obstacles,but also have the advantages of multidisciplinary background,which is of great benefit to expanding thinking,broadening knowledge and improving innovation ability.Interdisciplinary postgraduates need to overcome obstacles and make good use of their interdisciplinary background to improve their interdisciplinary application ability and professional growth.From the perspective of constructivism,with the clues of empiricism,adaptation,assimilation and balance,the following can be found from the postgraduate level: Interdisciplinary postgraduates acquire interdisciplinary professional knowledge and skills,Cultivate interdisciplinary awareness of professional identity,Giving full play to the advantages of disciplinary background and other channels can help interdisciplinary postgraduates to make up for the disadvantages of interdisciplinary learning,improve the research ability of postgraduates,and promote the dynamic growth of interdisciplinary postgraduates.
