Since the beginning of the 21 st century,smart mobile terminal devices have driven the development of the Internet,and mobile terminals represented by smart phones are playing an increasingly important role in people's life.The combination of Internet and mobile terminal equipment not only brings new elements to people's life,but also brings new teaching methods to track and field teaching of physical education major in colleges and universities.The application of smartphone APP in the teaching of track and field courses in college sports majors has opened up a new world for teachers' education and students' learning.With the help of the auxiliary teaching of smart phone APP,we introduced a variety of teaching media,including pictures,video,audio,etc.Track and field teaching got rid of the boring teaching process of simple practice in the past,improved the quality of track and field teaching in our college sports major,and created a new teaching mode.At the same time,mobile APP is applied to track and field course teaching of college sports major,effectively expanding the space of track and field teaching,enabling students and teachers to communicate at any time and anywhere,so as to timely and effectively solve the problems encountered in students' learning,and increase effective guarantee for improving students' learning efficiency and quality.This study takes full account of the use of smartphone APP by teachers and students of track and field programs in physical education,aiming to help teachers and students optimize the teaching mode on the basis of improving learning quality and efficiency,and improve students' learning interest and personal ability development.The teachers themselves will also be improved in such teaching process.At the same time,the experience of mobile APP assisted teaching can also be extended to other disciplines to promote the development of teaching mode in our colleges and universities in the new era.This paper takes teachers and students of physical education major in several colleges and universities as the survey objects,and makes a comprehensive analysis of the application of mobile APP in college physical education and track and field course teaching by using the methods of literature,interview,questionnaire and mathematical statistics.Through the case study and analysis of track and field courses,the author has learned the advantages and problems that should be paid attention to in the auxiliary teaching of track and field courses for college sports majors,as well as the shortcomings that can make up for the traditional classroom teaching.Finally,the conclusions are drawn as follows: the mobile APP helps track and field teaching to make it more intuitive and easy to understand,thus improving the quality and efficiency of teaching.Students also benefit a lot from the auxiliary teaching process of mobile APP.They can not only master the professional skills of track and field,but also improve the ability of independent learning.However,it should be noted that in the course of track and field teaching,the timing and amount of using mobile APP should be strictly controlled,and it should be remembered that normal classroom teaching should not be affected mainly by the guest.
