Research On The Improvement Of Engineering Practice Ability Of �Excellent Engineer Education And Training Program' Pilot Profession's College Students

With the rapid development of the world on economy and technology,the world industry changed from heavy industry to new high-tech industry.Around the world,countries,especially developed country,were reliant on new industry rather than the heavy industry with low technical content,high pollution index and large energy-consumption.And,the development of new high-tech industry needs lots of high-tech talents to study and overcome the technical problems cooperatively.Like other countries,China worked out �Excellent engineer education and training program' to seize the status of high-tech industry in May 2016.This research is based on the connotations of �Excellent program' and engineering practice ability.The connotation and structure of engineering practice ability were sorted out via literature analysis,case analysis and questionnaire survey.Six training plans of �Excellent program' experimental specialty in W university were studied from in these respects: students' cognition of �Excellent program',Engineering practice ability,factors influencing the improvement of engineering practice ability,degree of satisfaction with professional training.Problems existing in the process of cultivating engineering practice ability of W university were proposed and analyzed.Then,the factors influencing engineering practice ability were researched from the following three dimensions: universities,enterprises and individuals.Finally,strategies about how to improve engineering practice ability of �Excellent program� were proposed.The viewpoints of this article are as follows.The training of �Excellent program' is a process of accumulating basic knowledge and practical experience.And,the cultivation of �Excellent program' must depend on three parts: school education,social enterprise practice and individual learning and accumulation.As the starting point of cultivating �Excellent program',engineering education in colleges and universities should pay attention to the cultivation of students' engineering consciousness,engineering practice ability,engineering innovation ability,good foundation and learning habits,and the core among the points above is engineering practice ability.Based on the demands of �Excellent program�,the improvement of engineering practice ability includes requirements on engineering thinking ability,engineering design ability,engineering operation ability,teamwork ability,communication ability and so on.Thus,in order to improve the engineering practice ability,problems and deficiencies during cultivation,were studied strategies consist of cultivation concept,curriculum system,teaching staff,school-enterprise cooperation,and students own consciousness were proposed to improve students' engineering practice ability.
