With the acceleration of social mobility between urban and rural areas,a large number of young and middle-aged labors in rural have migrated to cities, resulting in a lot of left-behind children in rural areas. The separation between rural left-behind children and their parents makes family education and parent-child relationship play a weaker role in their growth. The lack of family education and estrangement of parents have reduced the attachment between the left behind children and the migrant working parents, leading to mutual distrust and estrangement between parents and children.Based on Maslow's theory of Needs,Family Systems theory and the Strength perspective theory, the study focuses on the alienation between the rural left behind children and their parents in the dual system in rural and urban areas.Taking the students of primary school in Village B in Hebei Province as study objects, the present situation, the performance and the reasons for the estrangement of the relationship between parents and children were investigated by using the method of literature research and interview. With the professional methods of individual social work cases, the study has formulated a detailed service plan about social work intervention to help the clients find problems and solve problems. In addition,it also explores the general approaches and methods of the effect that social work has on the parent-child relationship in rural areas. At last the paper proposes some constructive suggestion to solve common problems faced by such groups.
