As the development of society,information science and technology has been an important part nowadays.As a result,it is changing people's lifestyle.Education is a mainly part in our lives.The beginning and development of education has also been moved on with the push of civilization.Educational technology has brought the vitality to education.Furthermore,computer science and technology has also used widely in studies in physical geography and human geography.As the same time,the newly published curriculum in middle school geography emphasizes the significance of geography information science(GIS).As a newly stage in GIS,WebGIS is applied into geography education,which is very important in promoting the ability of geography teaching practice.The dissertation mainly discusses about the ability of WebGIS in geography education.The author designs WebGIS teaching model in geography teaching,and analyze sufficiently in teaching examples.As a result,there are mainly six parts in the dissertation,which contains: 1.Introduction.We mainly talked about the background,the design of the study and the significance.2.Summarisation of WebGIS application in teaching studies.First,the author defines the concept of WebGIS and regional cognition.Then,the dissertation has summarized the theory of WebGIS teaching model.And the author analyzes the status in quo of WebGIS application in teaching practice.3.The preparation of WebGIS teaching model.The author firstly analyzes the definition of WebGIS.Then,the dissertation explains the three functions of WebGIS application in teaching studies,which contain explanation of geography graphs,management of geography data and dynamic analysis of space.The design of WebGIS teaching model.First,there is the general process of WebGIS teaching model: propose setting,model nesting,and teaching feedback.Then,there are three nested models in the second part,which contain explanation of geography graphs,management of geography data and dynamic analysis of space.4.The sufficient analysis and examples of WebGIS teaching model.It will provide a good example of using the model.5.Conclusion.On one hand,the dissertation concludes the WebGIS teaching model in cultivating regional cognition;on the other hand,it concludes advantages,disadvantages and the future of the study.
