| History textbooks are the main basis for teaching activities,and are also the main tools for students to learn historical knowledge.They are also important carriers that reflect the will of the state and the characteristics of the times.With the continuous progress of society,history textbooks are constantly changing.According to the latest educational concepts and guiding ideology of the Party and the state,we should integrate the socialist core values into historical education,grasp the fundamental task of “building people by virtue” and train successors in the new era.In this context,the Ministry of Education organized the compilation of a new version of junior high school history textbook,which was unified throughout the country in September 2017.The second volume of the eighth grade history textbook of the People’s Education Press in 2017 was compiled under the guidance of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new period.It mainly tells that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,people of all nationalities realize national independence and unity,embark on the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and gradually realize the prosperity of the country.Comparing the second volume of history textbook of Grade 8published by PEP in 2006 and 2017,it is found that there are great differences in the background,basis,textbook structure and content selection.Through the comparative study of the above aspects,it is concluded that the characteristics of the textbook of the second volume of the eighth grade of the People’s Education Press in 2017 arechronological,contemporary,intuitive and appropriate.Some suggestions are put forward: teachers should carefully study the curriculum standards of history,pay attention to the changes of curriculum standards,and deeply understand the spirit of curriculum standards;pay attention to the combination of “points” and “lines” in teaching,comb clues,and cultivate students’ sense of timing;make full use of the various auxiliary columns newly added in textbooks,increase activity classes appropriately,enrich teaching resources;grasp the historical epoch,penetrate the hot spots of current politics,and increase the number of teaching resources;Strong historical prescription makes history life-like. |
