| "Searching for images in pictures and reasoning in books" is not only the basic attitude of ancient scholars,but also the method of reading and learning today.Since the late Qing Dynasty,the illustration system of middle school history textbooks has been improving day by day.In the 21 st century,with the promotion and deepening of a new round of basic education curriculum reform,the unified edition of high school history textbooks has been gradually implemented and used throughout the country.History illustration,as an important part of history textbooks,has gradually evolved into a relatively independent textbook system while updating and revising textbooks.It has increasingly become an indispensable tool and material in middle school history teaching.The illustrations in the unified edition of high school history textbooks are mainly composed of historical pictures,illustration names,notes and illustrations,which are distributed in the cover,unit pages,text and text columns.From the overall perspective of system theory,the illustrations of the outline of Chinese and foreign history(Part I)can be divided into cover drawings,body drawings,illustrations of columns in front of the text,illustrations of columns beside the text and illustrations of columns behind the text.Compared with the illustration system of the high school history textbook published by the people’s education press in 2007,the outline of Chinese and foreign history(Part I)is more standardized and reasonable in the layout of illustrations,coordinated and unified in color matching,objective and rigorous in detail handling,and the selection of content keeps pace with the times,which fully reflects the fact that the arrangement of illustrations should change and be brave in innovation.Under the surging tide of reform,it has become an irresistible trend of the times to carry on the past and forge ahead into the future and bring forth the new through the old.However,at the beginning of the birth of new things,all details must not be perfect.The outline of Chinese and foreign history(Part I)inevitably has some defects and deficiencies in dealing with the names,notes and graphic relations of some illustrations.In order to improve the illustration system of middle school history textbooks,the arrangement and improvement of historical illustrations can be considered from the aspects of diversification of historical illustrations,flexible visual communication,close graphic relations and intuitive illustration performance. |
