In today's era of Yoga market,it is a practical value to effectively improve people's awareness of yoga practice and the value of yoga movement.Yoga as a kind of sports,like other sports,is conducive to improving people's physical and mental health.As the core of personality,self-esteem is also the core of mental health.At present,the research on self-esteem by scholars at home and abroad is relatively hot,which is defined as a personality variable to predict emotional and life changes.Physical self-esteem,as an area of self-esteem,refers to the evaluation or emotional reaction of individuals to their physical characteristics,personality,social identity and behavior,which has the value of reflecting people's psychological benefits of exercise.The body self-esteem scale,as a reliability scale,can well predict people's self-esteem.But at present,most of the research results on yoga are to explore the effect of one exercise method on body self-esteem,or compare one method with another method to explore the impact on body self-esteem.No one has explored the impact of yoga exercise time on body self-esteem.In this study,Xu Xia(2001)Physical Self-esteem Scale was used as the body self-esteem scale,including five dimensions: physical self-worth,sports skills,physical condition and physical attraction.The yoga practice period is divided into five stages: within one year,1-3 years,3-5 years and more than 5 years.The body self-esteem of yoga practitioners was taken as the research object.The subjects were members of yoga practice clubs,practitioners of yoga halls,yoga teachers and yoga coaches' training instructors.By means of questionnaire survey,expert interview,mathematical statistics and literature review,this paper explores the correlation between limitation of yoga practice and body self-esteem.The main results are as follows: 1.Yoga practice can improve the body's self-esteem level.Generally speaking,the five dimensions of body self-esteem increase with the increase of yoga practice years.It shows that yoga has the sporting value of improving the physical self-esteem of practitioners.2.The influence of yoga practice on body self-esteem shows periodic characteristics.There is a significant difference in sports ability within one year and over five years.It shows that with the increase of practice years,the value and efficacy of yoga as a sport have a slow impact,and the movement characteristics of yoga can be one of the main influencing factors.3.Yoga has limited influence on body self-esteem.The limited influence of yoga on body self-esteem is mainly reflected in that when yoga practitioners can master yoga movements well,with the increase of years of practice,there is no significant impact on body self-esteem.Therefore,only those who are in the enlightenment stage of yoga practice have a significant impact on the growth of years.
