Chinese educational tradition has always attached great importance to the whole book reading.Since the 20 th century,ye shengtao and other scholars have advocated the whole book reading in theory and practice.In 2001,the Chinese curriculum standards for full-time compulsory education was revised in 2011.In both versions of the curriculum standards,the whole book reading is mentioned.Since ancient times,the whole book reading has attracted much attention.For this reason,we will study the whole book reading.This study under the guidance of relevant documents and theories,defines the connotation of the whole book reading,and discusses the general value of the whole book reading and book reading "Jane eyre" the special value of research and analysis the Yan’an junior middle school students read the whole book of the status quo of "Jane eyre" from individual to general,first proposed the idea of the whole book reading novels.The full text includes five parts.The introduction is composed of the research origin,research significance,research status,research methods and research use cases of the whole book.The first part is the study of the whole book reading theoretical basis,divided into foreign theoretical basis and domestic theoretical basis.The second part defines the whole book reading concept and discusses the general value of the whole book reading.The third part expounds the special value of reading Jane eyre from four aspects: pragmatic value,ideological value,artistic value and cultural value.The fourth part,based on questionnaire and interview,analyzes the problems in the whole book.In terms of teacher guidance,there are some problems,such as vague concept of version,unclear reading objectives,chaotic reading procedures,poor method guidance and inadequate effect evaluation.In the aspect of reading,there are some problems such as fear of difficulties,difficulty in persisting all the time,poor overall grasp,emphasis on story plots and lack of original discovery.The fifth part gives the strategies of reading Jane eyre.As for teachers,they should recommend appropriate versions,determine teaching objectives,design reasonable procedures,guide the use of methods and evaluate the reading effect.Students,to enhance reading confidence,adhere to the end of reading,learning to master the overall situation,pay attention to various elements and read their own experience.In giving strategies,this paper focuses on the whole book reading guide from one novel to all novels.
