With the development of teaching reform,more and more mathematics educators have shifted from focusing on the basic knowledge of mathematics and basic skills to paying attention to the basic ideas of mathematics and the acquisition of basic activities,and cultivating students' application awareness and problem-solving ability.Students should learn to use mathematical concepts,principles,and methods to explain phenomena and solve problems in the real world.PBL itself has the characteristics of real situation,problem-driven,open cooperation,sustainable inquiry,etc.,which can better cultivate students' awareness of application of mathematics and improve students' ability to solve problems.Based on the domestic and overseas researches of PBL theory,this paper combines the new curriculum standards with the actual teaching situation to expand the comprehensive practical activities of the primary school circle of mathematics to determine the starting line as the main content of teaching design and carry out teaching practice.We evaluate the teaching effect and give teaching suggestions.The sixth grade students of N primary school were selected as the subject of incestigation.Based on the students' existing knowledge level and learning disabilities,I designed two rounds of teaching pian to set the starting line combining with the characteristics of PBL.Through the implementation of instructional design,students have gone through the whole process of selecting projects,making plans,conducting activities,producing works,communicating results,and evaluating activities.After the questionnaire survey,classroom observation,student interviews and teacher interviews,the research on the effect of PBL project learning was carried out.The data were analyzed and compared.It was found that PBL learning can promote students' knowledge understanding,increase the breadth of knowledge,and help cultivate Students' mathematics application awareness and application ability increase the students' interest in learning,stimulate students' learning potential,enhance students' ability to cooperate,and develop students' ability to solve problems.However,due to the high requirements of PBL teaching for teachers and the inconsistency with the test standards,there is some defficnltives to implementation.
