In recent years,with the explosion of short video industry,many short video applications have been born one after another."Tik Tok" came to the top,accumulated a large number of users in a short period of time and succeeded in catching up with "Kuaishou",becoming the industry giant in the field of short video.Among the huge user groups,female users have become the backbone of Tik Tok with absolute advantage in number.In the past studies on women and media,women tend to show a lack of subjectivity.Whether the emergence of Tik Tok can further empower women and change their "other" status is the focus of our attention in this paper.From the perspective of feminism,this paper combines the theoretical knowledge of consumerism,body consumption,discourse power,discourse field and semiotics,and focuses on the two aspects of female discourse and female body through literature research,network ethnography and questionnaire survey.Deeply explore whether women's voice power has been substantially enhanced on the open platform of Tik Tok? And how does the female body,which has always been consumed and disciplined,stand by itself in the tremble?Does consumption and discipline still exist? Does the female body realize the transformation from objectivity to subjectivity? With the above problems,this paper is divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the research background,significance and research methods of this paper,and combs the relevant achievements of feminist media research at home and abroad.Chapter 2 combines the results of the questionnaire to analyze the female expression on the Tik Tok platform.This paper probes into the evolution of female communicators in the new and old media era,and analyses the positive and negative effects of Tik Tok platform on female discourse.Chapter 3 introduces the discipline and consumption of women's body in the light of consumer culture,and analyses the physical predicament and rebellion of women on the Tik Tok platform.Chapter4 mainly analyses the causes and Countermeasures of female subjectivity deficiency in Tik Tok platform.Through systematic analysis and research,this paper finds that on the platform of TikTok,women's voice power and influence have been enhanced to a certain extent,and some new female images dare to subvert male aesthetics and independence have emerged.The popularity of "male consumption" in Tik Tok promotes the improvement of female subjectivity.However,due to the deep-rooted ideology of male chauvinism,the lack of female subjectivity and other reasons,women still can not completely get rid of the "second sex" status.
