The current biology textbooks for junior middle schools are compiled according to the Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards issued by the Ministry of Education in 2011.Compared with the previous version,there are great changes in the way of presentation,among which the most obvious change is the diversity of columns settings.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the columns of junior high school biology textbooks.The significance of this study is:(1)It can provide reference for the analysis of related columns in the future.(2)To enable first-line teachers to grasp the structure and content of the textbook more comprehensively and accurately.(3)It can promote the development of diversified textbooks.(4)It can promote the improvement of biology textbooks,and provide reference for the revision and preparation of textbooks in the future.The research method mainly used in this paper are Literature Method,Questionnaire Survey Method and Inductive Summarization Method.Questionnaire for 51 biology teachers and 500 seventh-grade students from five middle schools including Liaocheng No.3 Middle School North Campus,Liaocheng Dongchang Middle School,Liaocheng Shuicheng Huide Middle School,Tai'an First Experimental Middle School and Linyi No.6Middle School.A lot of information was obtained,which laid the foundation for the column studywriting of the thesis.Through the research on this topic,we found that:(1)Most of the biology teachers agree on the structure of the textbook column,and they can understand the editor's intention to design the column.(2)The biology teachers have a better understanding of the23 categories in the textbook,and the overall situation of the use of each column is better,indicating that most teachers agree with the role and value of the column.(3)There are 10 columns with a teacher frequency of more than 80%,and 6 columns with a frequency of50%-80%,and the utilization rate of 7 columns is less than 50%.This shows that teachers have significant differences in the importance of the column.(4)Through the analysis ofteachers using low frequency section,it can be seen that most of the teachers because of limited class time,limited school conditions and not the focus of examinations,so the use of columns such as“Investigation”,“Biology and Literature”,“Unit Summary”,“The Story of the Scientists " and " Biology-related Occupations” is very low.Problems identified in this study,the author makes recommendations from two aspects:ideological understanding and teaching practice.(1)Ideological understanding:When revising teaching materials,the presentation of the content of the columns should be diversified;Teachers must firmly establish the new curriculum standard concept;Improve awareness of the column and actively explore ways to use the column;Teachers should enrich their knowledge and improve professional quality.(2)Teaching practice: Improve the presentation of the content of the column;To compile columns in the guide case and multimedia;Combine columns with research-based learning.
