In the "Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards",it is pointed out that in junior high school biology teaching,we should take improving students' biological science literacy as the concept,including paying attention to the formation of students' scientific attitude and values,and emphasizing students' understanding to the relationship among science,technology and society.In order to fully penetrate the quality of biological science,teachers need to carry out teaching with diversified teaching methods and abundant teaching resources.Through concrete examples,students can feel the close relationship among biological science,technology development and social life.In the reading columns of biology textbooks,the application of biology,scientific research stories,life science and technology are mostly involved.The application of the columns in biology teaching plays an important role in improving students' reading ability,scientific and cultural quality,and highlighting biological science literacy.Situation creation refers to the teaching strategy that teachers use specific scenes or learning resources to create vivid learning situations for students,so as to arouse students' cognitive drive.The application of situation creation strategy in the teaching of reading columns is in line with the content characteristics of reading columns and can fully reflect the teaching value of reading columns.In this paper,through literature research,the research status and related theories of reading column and situation creation were sorted out.Through questionnaire and interview,the application status of reading column was analyzed.It was found that students have high cognitive attitude and learning expectations to reading columns,but because of academic pressure,content difficulty and other reasons,students' learning status of the column is not ideal.Although the teachers have a high degree of recognition for reading columns,the tense class hours and the lack of strategies lead to the low utilization rate of reading column teaching and the single teaching method of teachers.In this paper,the text analysis method was used to summarize the content characteristics and educational functions of reading columns.Combined with the principles of heuristic,appropriateness and emotionalism,the reading column situation creation strategies were proposed,including clever introduction through creating story situations,classroom extension through creating life situation,career planning through creating role situation and quality development through creating human situation.At the same time,the teaching practice of reading column was carried out by using the above situation creation strategies.The teaching effect was evaluated by means of test,class observation,teacher evaluation and student interview.The results showed as follows: the application of situation creation strategy in reading column teaching has significant effect,and students' interest in learning has been improved,and their learning state has been improved;Through the guidance of teachers,students' reading ability and interest are improved,and their reading literacy is developed.the implementation of reading column teaching can improve students' biological science literacy,especially in the application of knowledge and the ability to contact life.Finally,based on the results of questionnaire,interview and practice,suggestions on the compilation and implementation of reading columns were put forward,that is,appropriately increasing the number and content of reading columns,improving the utilization rate of reading columns,strengthening teachers' teaching and research training,reducing the academic burden of urban students,and strengthening the reading ability training of township students.Through the teaching research of reading column,the purpose is to improve the attention of teachers and students to the column,and to provide reference for teachers to implement the teaching of the column,in order to provide new ideas for the full implementation of compulsory education curriculum standards and broadening the cultivation path of biological science literacy.
