At present,the phenomenon of assigning extracurricular homework to teachers in various junior high schools in China is still very common,which leads to students’ over-burdened homework and reduced enthusiasm for learning.Of course,proper homework is still an irreplaceable role in enriching students’ spare time,developing students’ curiosity about knowledge and stimulating students’ interest in learning.Therefore,how to properly design and arrange extracurricular work is one of the urgent problems to be solved.This study is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the research background,purpose,significance and current research situation at home and abroad.The second chapter is the definition of concepts and research methods and ideas.The third chapter is the investigation and analysis of the status quo of junior high school biology extracurricular operations.In order to explore the current situation of extracurricular homework in junior high school in our province and even the whole country,taking some schools in Luxi as an example,the first grade of the four middle schools in Liaocheng City were selected as the research object,and two parallel classes were randomly selected to issue student questionnaires.At the same time,teacher questionnaires were distributed to the biology teachers in the above schools;then the results of the questionnaires were analyzed using spss20.0 software.The results show that there are problems in the current extracurricular work of junior high school biology in Liaocheng City:(1)The amount of work is large;(2)Types are relatively simple,for example,based on written assignments;(3)Biology homework is relatively less connected to student life,society,and other disciplines in content.;(4)In terms of homework design,some teachers are not based on different students specific circumstances to design extracurricular assignments and so on.The fourth chapter is the measure to optimize the extracurricular work of junior high school biology.Mainly for the above problems and combined with some current realitiesof secondary education,the author gives the following recommendations:(1)Biology teachers should follow the principles of diversity,appropriateness,pertinence,interest and flexibility in designing extracurricular assignments;(2)To ensure that students have sufficient extracurricular free time,can not make extracurricular homework a burden on students;(3)With a variety of types of extracurricular assignments,teachers can design regular,introductory,hands-on,parent-child or extra-curricular assignments that students can choose freely;(4)To design a rich extracurricular assignment,teachers should pay attention to strengthen the connection between extracurricular assignments and student life,society and other disciplines;(5)Design an assignment for students to choose freely.
