SWOT Analysis Of Guangzhou American Football Development

In recent years,the rapid development of China's economy,accompanied by the takeoff of domestic competitive sports.More and more new sports are being promoted to our country,just like rugby,squash,frisbee and so on.American football events in China have also become more and more.From the original Chinese American football league(AFLC)to the current City Bowl and the national indoor American football professional league(CAFC),as well as the derivation of the celestial league,the development of American football is mushrooming.At present,guangzhou American football is well developed.The number of American football clubs in guangzhou is equal to that in Beijing and Shanghai,where American football is in the leading position.The university popularization degree is high;American football training institutions are highly skilled.This paper USES SWOT analysis method,interview method,questionnaire survey method and other research methods to study and analyze the internal advantages and disadvantages,external opportunities and challenges of guangzhou American football.The results show that the development of rugby in guangzhou is slow,the main factors are the late start of the project,the poor mass foundation,the lack of hardware facilities and resources,sports culture conflict,etc.The following conclusions are drawn: 1.The advantages of guangzhou American football development are as follows: policy advantage,club development advantage,social environment advantage,school education advantage,social training institution advantage,media publicity advantage and competition development advantage.2.The disadvantage of the guangzhou football development is summarized as the following aspects: guangzhou football coach talent scarcity,guangzhou football club training means lag behind,American football sport for participants require high physical quality,lack of professional standard football field,guangzhou football equipment and the surrounding market popularization.3.The opportunities for the development of American football in guangzhou include the following aspects: national and local policy support,the increase of NFL promotion,the opening of colleges and universities to American football,and the high publicity and attention paid to American football by new media.4.The threats to the development of American football in guangzhou come from the following aspects:the attention paid to American football in guangzhou is not as high as that paid to domestic sports events;American football culture is in conflict with China's traditional culture and ideology;American football has a high risk factor;it is prone to injury;and foreign sports occupy the domestic market first.Guangzhou American football development process is relatively slow,but the project has a good prospect of development and large room for improvement.This paper hopes to find a way for the development of American football in guangzhou by analyzing the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the development of American football in guangzhou.
