Career enlightenment education is the foundation of modern vocational education.It has important practical value to help students understand their careers,recognize themselves,improve their motivation,and guide students to think about the future.Primary school is a key stage in the development of children's ability and the formation of three views.At this stage,vocational enlightenment education can help students to initially recognize the society and improve their comprehensive practica l ability,and promote the formation of labor ability and labor concept.At present,China's theoretical and practical exploration of vocational enlightenment education in primary school is still at a preliminary stage of development,and has not formed a systematic and mature framework system.Through questionnaires and interviews with faculty and parents of 5 elementary schools in Changzhou and interviews with students,it was found that in terms of attitude,most teachers and parents realized the importa nce of vocational enlightenment education and supported the development of students' professional knowledge.It also shows great interest,but it lacks systematic understanding of the relevant content of vocational enlightenment education.In terms of ability,most subject teachers express their limited ability to teach vocational enlightenment education,but are willing to further learn to master system professional knowledge and related.Teaching methods;in terms of implementation,although all five schoolshave activities related to vocational enlightenment education,there are still problems such as single form,short activity time,and unscientific teaching content,and the education gap between schools is also very obvious.Faced with the status quo of vocational enlightenment education in primary school in China,we urgently need to strengthen improvement measures in the following aspects: In terms of conceptual change,the government should be aware of the shortcomings of the spread of exam-oriented education in primary school and adjust the content of primary education;schools should flexibly evaluate teachers' teaching.The effect is to loosen the teachers' footwork;parents should change the traditional test-oriented education concept and create good conditions for the healthy growth of students.In the design of training programs,it is necessary to clarify the educational goals,determine the content of education,and enrich the form of teaching organization.In the construction of the teaching staff,while introducing the theoretical level of the subject teachers,the professional enlightenment education leaders are introduced,and at the same time actively cooperate with parents and enterprises to build a vocational enlightenment education situation.In the choice of activities,we must be rich and diverse,lively and interesting,such as multi-party cooperation to build a professional experience center,carry out research tasks,hold vocational education days,develop school-based courses.
