| There are often some students who have poor academic performance,are lazy in behavior and hold negative learning attitude in class.We call them underachievers.Their existence has the influence on class culture and atmosphere.How to effectively transform underachievers is an urgent problem to be solved..A large number of studies have shown that the lack of interest in learning is an important reason for students becoming underachievers.Classroom is an important place where learning takes place and can be an important breakthrough to help and change these underachievers.With the rapid development of information technology,games have gradually integrated into our lives.Since the new curriculum reform,the concept of "teaching with pleasure" has been put forward,making game-based teaching as a new teaching method widely concerned.Its combination of entertainment and education has important theoretical and practical significance in stimulating students’ learning interest and strengthening their learning motivation.This paper first elaborates the current situation of game-based teaching and the transformation of underachievers at home and abroad,reviews the theoretical basis,and defines the relevant concepts.Through questionnaires and interviews,the paper investigates the learning status of the underachievers.Aiming at the problems of the underachievers ’lack of interest in learning,difficulty in understanding learning content and low participation in the classroom,the study combines games with teaching organically by taking games as an important means to stimulate students’ interest in learning and support teaching,pedagogy and psychology as the theoretical basis of research,junior high school physics as the subject background.To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of game-based teaching in the transformation of underachievers.Finally,three natural teaching classes in the eighth grade of a junior middle school in Shanghai were selected for practical research.The study finds that game-based teaching can effectively improve the learning interest of the underachievers,help them understand and master the learning content and improve classroom participation. |
