The Empirical Research On Education's Contribution To The Rate Of Economic Increase In Jiangsu Province

The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy,talents become the core of the competitiono The important position of Education in the economic development has become a consensus.Human resources have become the strategic resources to promote the economic and social development,cultivation and reserve of talents became the various countries' important means of occupy vantage point in the competition and cooperation.Recently,our country economy keep a high speed of development,the education development has also made great progress.Our country has made great support to the development of education,education funds investment,Education budget has been improved continuously.Already broking through the goals of state financial education spending accounts for 4%of gross domestic product(GDP)Jiangsu province is in the Yangtze River delta region where the economic flourishing.Since the reform and opening,Jiangsu has maintained rapid economic growth.Both GDP and per capita GDP in Jiangsu province are in the front row of the nation.Jiangsu also has strong science and education.Jiangsu province vigorously support the development of education.IN 2014,the education funds investment of Jiangsu province is above 200 billion,ranking the second in the nation.Jiangsu has realized a sustainable,rapid and healthy development of education.As a strong province of economy and education,Now the research focus on the contribution of a certain stage of the education,such as higher education,graduate education,and human capital to economic growth.But from the whole education system,the research on the contribution rate of every stage of education to economic growth is not much.How much are the contribution to economic growth of every stage of Jiangsu education.Compared with the whole nation,what the advantages and disadvantages of the education development in Jiangsu province are.This study uses the data of economic and education development in recent 30 years,by using Cobb-Douglas function and Denison factor analysis method,to research the contribution rate of economic growth all levels of education in Jiangsu province.Combining with the development of the national and Jiangsu education,in this paper,I try to analysis of the reasons behind the Numbers,and explore the way of development of education in Jiangsu,and to provide policy recommendations.The study found that in 1982 and 2013,average education attainment in Jiangsu were 4.70,10.08,the growth rate of average education attainment was 2.49%.educational comprehensive index in Jiangsu were 4.87?10.96,the growth rate of educational comprehensive index was 2.65%.According to the analysis results,Capital input and output elasticity of Jiangsu province waso.82,labor input and output elasticity of Jiangsu province was 0.64.we know that labor input and output elasticity of Jiangsu province was bigger than the Capital input and o elasticity of Jiangsu province.0.82+0.64>l,it means Jiangsu economic growth is in the stage of scale increasing returns.Economic growth in Jiangsu province is still in the capital driven phase,the promoting function of human capital on economic growth is far less than capitalCompared the data of Jiangsu province,with the data the country,in 1982 and 2013,the growth speed of GDP of Jiangsu was higher than the speed of GDP growth of the nation,labor input and output elasticity and the Capital input and output elasticity of Jiangsu province also bigger than our country.Average education attainment is bigger than the nation,but the growth rate of average education attainment of the nation was bigger than Jiangsu.The contribution rate of Elementary school,junior high school,high school and high educ.ation all higher than that in nation.While the economy of Jiangsu province maintaining rapid development speed,but the impetus of human capital on economic growth is lacking.Relying on capital,energy,increased labor input to improve the level of economic development belongs to the extensive mode of economic development.Restricted by resources and environment,the traditional extensive economic development is faced with crisis.Optimize the industrial structure,making innovation and scientific and technological progress become the new powers economic development.In education development,Jiangsu province should continue to maintain the high quality of the compulsory education,and make it develop balanced,increase investment in high school and higher education,emphasis on fostering vocational education development.
