Human capital is an indispensable and important resource for a country's economic development.Talent competition has become the core of comprehensive national strength competition.Human capital is not a natural resource.Human capital can only be formed through education and training of human resources,that is,investment in human capital.Public sent to study abroad as a form of human capital investment in education and training of human resources has received increasing attention in the current environment of studying abroad.University teachers are one of the main force in sending out overseas students.By studying abroad,they can access advanced science and technology and learn the latest cutting-edge knowledge so as to broaden their horizons of scientific research and enhance their overall quality.However,at present,few scholars have empirical research on whether sending students abroad can improve the academic output of university teachers.Therefore,through an empirical method to scientifically assess the impact of the human capital investment mode of study abroad for the academic output of university teachers,it is possible to enrich the relevant theories of overseas study education and human capital investment,which is conducive to the country's plans to adjust the public sent to study abroad,and A more reasonable and effective study abroad policy can also enable university teachers to make clearer judgments on the issue of public schooling and study abroad.The purpose of publicly sending students to study abroad has certain theoretical and practical significance.This paper takes South China Agricultural University as the research object,and through extensive collection,analysis and collation of relevant literature and data at home and abroad,using human capital investment theory and dual difference model research methods,it defines human capital,human capital investment,university teachers,public sent abroad.The connotation of studying abroad and academic output elaborated the related mechanism of sending students abroad to study abroad and investing in human capital.It also analyzed the influence of sending abroad to study on the academic output of university teachers and put forward relevant suggestions for promoting university teachers to send students abroad to study.The results of this study show that studying abroad has a positive effect on the academic output of university teachers;the change in academic output of male teachers is significantly and positively greater than that of female teachers;the ratio of teachers with doctoral degrees The academic output of teachers with master's degrees has changed significantly and positively;the academic output of teachers in natural subjects has changed significantly and positively compared with the teachers of humanities.Based on this,the suggestions for promoting university teachers to send students to study abroad are put forward:(1)To improve the hierarchy of the assignments: the level of the selection of disciplines;the level of the selection mechanism;and the level of the manner of sending students to study abroad.(2)Provide a good returning environment: create a suitable research and teaching environment;provide necessary life support.
