Since project-based learning was introduced into China in the 1990 s,some schools,especially primary and junior high schools,began to try project-based learning and achieved good results.As it is suitable for cultivating well-rounded talents and meeting the needs of current education and teaching reform,its teaching effect is improved in many aspects compared with other teaching modes.In recent years,it has been favored by the field of education,especially the front-line teachers.However,the practice and application of project-based learning in high school biology teaching are few.Senior high school biology teachers urgently need projec-basedt learning practice cases and teaching effect reference.Through the analysis of the development,current situation,connotation and other theories of project-based learning,this study believes that it is very necessary to introduce project-based learning into biology teaching in senior high school.Based on the reflection on the first-line teaching and the questionnaire to the students,nine problems are found in the current biology teaching in senior high school.Secondly,the reasons for these problems are found based on the interview results of teachers.Then,according to the problems and reasons,based on the relevant theories of project-based learning,local curriculum resources and students' learning situation,the implementation strategies of project-based learning to solve these problems are proposed.On this basis,the teaching process of project-based learning was reconstructed and teaching cases and teaching effect evaluation tools were designed based on the subject knowledge and core concepts of biology and "the prevention and treatment of cancer diseases" as an example.Finally,the teaching cases and evaluation tools are practiced for all the students in class 1,grade 2 of xx middle school in huixian county.The results show that project-based learning strategy can solve the problems in current teaching.Project-based learning strategies have significantly improved the teaching effect of biology in senior high school.The results show that the problems and causes of biology teaching in huixian xx middle school are clarified.The teaching implementation strategy of project-based learning can effectively solve some problems in biology teaching in senior high school.The teaching process based on the project-based learning theory and the designed teaching cases are feasible.The teaching effect of project-based learning needs multiple evaluation methods.
