It is proposed by the Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)that geography practice should be strengthened and geography teachers should join the practice,improve and reflect themselves to systematize and publicize the research results.Combining geographical practice activities with action research is conducive to promoting teachers' professional development,students' action capability and volitional quality,enriching the professional material for geography subject and providing the talents for the society.Under the background of 2017 edition,based on the current situation of geography teaching,the thesis did action research to carry out practice activities in high school geography teaching.Firstly,the thesis defined the definition of geographic practice,field investigation and action research by reading a large number of documents.And the thesis presented the research progress of domestic and foreign scholars on the application of action research in geography teaching,the study of geography practice activities,and the research of field investigation activities.Secondly,through teaching practice and interviews with teachers and students,the thesis analyzed the current situation of geography practice activities in H Middle School,and decided to carry out Sun Jiachuan's field survey in H Middle School of Huachi County.Thirdly,the thesis planned Sun Jiachuan's field investigation activities from three aspects: activity conditions,content and process.The thesis carried out three rounds of action research on specific problems that have been found.Finally,according to the results of this action research,some reasonable suggestions are put forward for the implementation of geography practice activities.Besides,the thesis adopted the spiral upward structural model,which is designed by S.Kemmis.It is a circular model of plan-action-investigation-reflection-replan-reaction.According to the spiral upward structural model,the thesis specifically analyzed the procedures,further explained how to carry out the geography practice activities and proposed some suggestions for geography practice activities through practice and reflection.The thesis put forward the following suggestions to carry out practice activities in high school geography teaching: firstly,in the aspect of plan design,students' basic situation should be considered;the local geographical resources should be fully exploited;students' participation in design or independent design should be taken into account;enough preparation should be made by both teachers and students;questionsshould be clearly used to lead in;the content of activities should be close to students' daily life and interesting;the attribute of subject and speciality of geography should be embodied.Secondly,in the aspect of implementing process,teachers should pay attention to the use of geographical tools such as maps;correctly deal with the learning content besides teaching objectives;combine rigidity and flexibility in management and correctly deal with the relationship between teachers and students;teachers should have emergency awareness to fix generative problems,mobilize students' active learning awareness and penetrate the core quality of geography;teachers and students should both have a strong sense of safety as well.Finally,in the aspect of summary and evaluation,the report should be rich in both content and types;the summary should be combined with the local reality and stimulate thinking;the means of evaluation should be various to increase students' self-confidence.
