Learning opportunity is an important index reflecting the quality of textbooks.To evaluate the quality of textbooks,we can see whether textbooks provide enough learning opportunities for students to learn or not.Mathematics textbook is the main tool for students to learn mathematics,and its quality affects students' learning.This comparative study aims to measure the learning opportunity offering condition between different versions of junior high school mathematics textbook,taking the study of the contents of "number and algebra" in People's Education Press and the Beijing Normal University Press as an example.Firstly,on the basis of reviewing the connotation of learning opportunity,combing the relevant literature,clarifying the concept of learning opportunity,and combining with the object of the study,this paper defines the "learning opportunity" as an opportunity for students to realize the content requirements of "number and algebra" in the curriculum standard of the 2011 edition.Secondly,with the content as the main index reflecting the learning opportunities of textbooks as the main line,the study is carried out from two aspects to describe the situation of learning opportunities.The first aspect,the exposure degree of the research content is used to describe the learning opportunities.It refers to the quantity of knowledge in the field of "number and algebra" in the textbook,such as learning concepts,theorems and problem solving methods.The second aspect,by studying the situation of learning opportunities around the content of knowledge and the subsequent set of mathematical task questions,refers to the textbook "number and algebra" in the field of content,to provide students with the opportunity to solve mathematical tasks.Finally,it is found that in the field of "number and algebra" in PEP and Peking Normal University,the PEP provides learning opportunities for intuitive knowledge points,which are higher than Peking Normal University.Among the contents of different fields,the fields of number and form and function provide learning opportunities for intuitive knowledge points,and the Peking Normal UniversityEdition is also higher than the Peking Normal University Edition.In the field of equation and inequality,the fields of knowledge held by PEP and Peking Normal University are different.However,in the two versions of textbooks,the same field accounts for the same proportion of their total.Number and formula are the areas with the highest learning opportunities in their respective learning content,and the learning content in quadratic function field is the areas that both versions pay attention to at the same time.In different grades,the learning opportunities of the two versions of the same domain knowledge are also relatively different.Different versions provide students with the opportunity to solve mathematical task problems.The overall and different types of learning opportunities of the two versions of mathematical task problems are different,and the proportion of learning opportunities of the two versions of mathematical task problems in different fields is also different.For this reason,according to the situation of learning opportunities in the field of "number and algebra" in the two versions of textbooks,the corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward.
