Study On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of The Natural Turfgrass Mini Golf Courses

Well known with its large scale of sizes,the standard golf courses in China have been so dominant since the modern golf was formally introduced into China in 1984.But the business model of membership,higher threshold of having membership and hard-to-afford expenses of playing golf keep the public away from the golf courses,which largely hinder the development of golf to the ordinary people in China.Developing Mini golf is effective for golf going to the public.This paper provides a theoretical and practical guidance for the future development Mini golf course in China through the comprehensive analysis of effects and causes both internally and externally,and also through the study of the development and management mode for the Mini golf courses at home and abroad.The paper takes natural turfgrass Mini golf course as the research subject.It adopts the literature analytical method,field visit method,questionnaire survey method,professional people interviewing method and SWOT strategic analysis method to summarize the origin of the mini golf in the world and the current situation of Mini golf development in Europe,America,and Korea in Asia.The writer visited several typical mini golf courses of our country and analyzed their characteristcs,development&investment modes,management modes,macroscopic policy and customers' characteristics,conclusions as followed:1.The key of foreign mini golf course to keep stable development is to find suitable mini golf course type for customers,as well as policy support,golf culture environment and reasonable price.2.The elements that hindered Chinese mini golf course development are:lack of government support and the public voice,problems existing in operation and so on.3.Field survey and qustionaire shows that location is the key factor of mini golf course operation;bring the price down is the major way to bring mini golf to the public;singleness of mini golf course type is the major factor that restrict its development.4."Independent driving range+mini golf course" will be the main development mode for natural turfgrass mini golf course in the future of our country.
