The Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)gives a specific definition for computing power.In recent years,more and more people have paid attention to mathematics computing ability.And it gets a lot of attention in the midterm.A large part of the Middle School Examination questions are related to mathematics operations.Therefore,the teaching of the entire Middle School stage always needs to pay attention to the training of students 'computing ability.The eighth grade is a crucial period for junior high school students to develop their computing power,because it is a transition period in the three years of junior high school.Therefore,the present situation of mathematics computing ability of junior high school students is studied,and some effective teaching strategies are put forward.Based on the literature review,relevant theoretical research and communication with teachers,a test volume and a questionnaire for junior high school students 'mathematical computing ability were compiled.Four classes from two middle schools in this city were selected as the subjects of this study.According to the survey,in terms of the dimension of knowledge,students score higher on knowledge of books than on practical problems in life.The score for the calculation problem is also higher than the score for the synthesis problem.In terms of ability dimension,the score of the test questions for the three parts of mining topic information,using the formula rules,and the ability to choose reasonable methods are relatively high.The test score for this part of understanding the meaning and reasoning ability of the operation is the lowest.Students 'understanding of the meaning and reasoning of calculations is too weak.Even students with better grades only know how to do mathematical calculations,but they do not understand why they want to do so.Based on the above research results,the paper finally puts forward some suggestions on the mathematics computing ability of junior high school students from the following aspects:First,we must pay attention to the cultivation of basic knowledge and basic skills,strengthen the basic knowledge of definitions,formulas,and laws,and the most important thing is to strengthen the teaching of mathematics and arithmetic.Second,pay attention to the cultivation of non-intelligence factors,mainly to cultivate students 'interest in mathematics computing ability,rigorous attitude to do questions,and strengthen the training of students' mathematics computing ability.
