Mathematical operation ability runs through the entire mathematical research from beginning to end,and is one of the fundamental abilities in mathematics.It refers to the ability to use the rules of operation for relevant reasoning and calculations to obtain the required operation results.Learning operations plays an important role in the mathematics learning of middle school students,not only throughout the entire mathematics learning process,but also as an auxiliary tool for other disciplines(physics,chemistry,biology).In this article,the basic mathematical operation abilities of middle school students were mainly studied,including four arithmetic operations,integer,rational,and radical operations.The research method adopts a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,assisting SPSS and Excel systems in analyzing the mathematical computing abilities mastered by contemporary junior high school students,and summarizing the factors that affect junior high school students’ computing abilities based on the phenomenon studied.Targeted improvement strategies and response methods are proposed.The first chapter of this paper reveals the background,content and significance of the research topic.The second chapter summarizes the research results and theoretical basis of computing power at home and abroad.The third chapter conducts a questionnaire survey and an examination paper test for the students in Grade Three of Chongqing Luneng Ba Shu Middle School,and interviews some math teachers in Luneng Ba Shu Middle School.With the help of questionnaire stars,SPSS,EXCEL and other tools,the survey results were analyzed in detail,and the factors affecting junior high school students’ mathematical computing ability were summarized.The fourth chapter,based on the survey results and influencing factors,proposes methods and strategies to improve junior high school students’ mathematical computing ability,including the following seven aspects: cultivating interest in mathematical computing,deep understanding of concepts,algorithms,formulas,and rules,forming an optimal algorithm solving strategy,cultivating symbol awareness,establishing mathematical model ideas,and understanding the role of algorithm thinking in mathematical computing,And skillfully using wrong questions to improve the ability of thinking.The fifth chapter applies the theory to practice,and applies the relevant strategies proposed in the fourth chapter to teaching.Practical research shows that these strategies can effectively improve the mathematical operation ability of junior high school students.The sixth chapter summarizes the conclusions of this study,on the basis of which,reflection and future expectations are carried out.Through research,the author found that the relevant strategies mentioned in this paper can improve students’ mathematical operation ability in varying degrees.Because most of the students surveyed are interested in mathematics,the strategy of cultivating students’ interest in mathematics can be used for students who lack interest in mathematics,and the effect is obvious.The strategy of deep understanding of concepts,calculation principles,formulas and rules can help students who do not have a solid grasp of basic knowledge to improve their mathematical operation ability to a certain extent.The formation of optimal operation and problem solving strategies advocates the formation of divergent thinking,which can greatly improve the thinking ability of students at the middle level.The three strategies of symbol awareness,modeling idea and perception algorithm should be imperceptibly imparted to students in the process of mathematics teaching,which is of great significance for cultivating students’ mathematical thinking ability and mathematical operation ability.The strategy of skillfully using wrong questions to improve the ability of thinking is complicated,but the effect is extremely significant.It can be used by students at all levels,with wide applicability and strong practicality.
