Case Study On Spiritual And Emotional Comfort Of The Elderly Who Lose Only Child In The City

In recent years, the scale of the elderly who lose their only child is expanding continually. Especially under the background of the aging of the population, the problems of supporting old people and satisfying spiritual and emotional needs have become more obvious. As a real sense of empty nest elderly, the old people who lose their only child have got popularly attention from country and society. Our country introduces relevant policies gradually to provide old-age security for the elderly who lose their only child. Solving the problem of survival is very important, but we should also pay more attention to the needs of their spirit and emotion at the same time. Therefore, helping the elderly who lose their only child out of the emotional dilemma is a higher-level security on the basis of solving the problem of pension.Through sorting and analyzing the existing literature, this study found that the old people who lose their only child in the city have many general emotional difficulties, such as immerse in sadness, lose the spirit bailment, difficult to fit into society, etc. This research uses the method of social case work to help the elderly who lose their only child in the city to find their own problems, then provide them with spiritual and emotional comfort follow the purpose of “help people to help themselves”. The study shows that the social worker, as a companion, can use the professional methods and skills of social work to help them solve their own problems according to their individual differences. In order to help the elderly who lose their only child to spend their remaining years in comfort, we sparkplug that establish the special nursing home, organize a professional team of social work to provide services for them, and pay attention to the development of elderly social work.
