With the enactment of various policies to support the development of social work professionals,the cultivation of social work professionals has been mentioned as an extremely important position.While the "512 Wenchuan earthquake" brought disaster to the people of Sichuan,it also promoted the development of social work majors and industries.All kinds of private social work service agencies set up,and the government's purchase of social services became the new normal.However,even as social work is developing so well,the brain drain of social work professionals is becoming more and more serious.In order to respond to this problem and provide constructive Suggestions for the stable development of the industry talents,this study focuses on the behavior and relationship between leaders and social workers in private social work service institutions in Sichuan and Chongqing.Transformational leadership emphasizes on conveying the meaning and value of work to employees and attaches importance to the working atmosphere.Followership is a stable and effective way of interaction between leaders and followers.Through introducing transformational leadership and followership,this study delves into the influence of transformational leadership on social workers' followership.This study designed the questionnaire after structured interview with 18 leaders and administrators of private social work service institutions,which also combining with the existing transformational leadership and followership measurement table.The author conducted a questionnaire survey on 305 social workers in Sichuan and Chongqing areas,and used SPSS22.0 software to analyze the data.Finally,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)in the field of social work,transformational leadership can be divided into three dimensions: Morale Modeling,Charisma,Consideration and Support.Followership can be divided into three dimensions: Communication and Execution,Obedience and Trust,and Professional Questioning.(2)gender,personnel scale and number of work in demographic variables have a significant impact on transformational leadership,while gender and job position have a significant impact on social workers' followership.(3)age,education background,personnel scale,working years,job position as control variables,the hierarchical regression results showed that the three dimensions of transformational leadership such as Morale Modeling,Charisma,Consideration and Support have significant positive influence on the social workers' dimensions of followership,such as Communication and Execution,Obedience and Trust,and Professional Questioning.Based on the above research,the author emphasizes that the leaders should attach importance to in formation of the transformational leadership in the social work service agencies.In order to make contributions to the stable development of the social work profession talented person,the author also suggest that the government should promote the establishment of the social work leadership training mechanism,improve the security system for social work leaders,promote transformational leadership curriculum development,strengthen the cultivation and assessment of leaders in social work institutions.
