After entering the 21 st century,the study of students' comprehensive abilities is an area of active concern to many countries,regions and international organizations.With the rapid development of information society and information technology,people are increasingly aware that ICT capabilities should be an important part of students' comprehensive literacy.Requiring students to have ICT skills will not only become a basic condition for work or study in the future society,but also become an important guarantee for the sustainable development of the national economy and industry.The Australian Education Department started the National Curriculum Reform Program in 2008.The Australian National Curriculum Outline has been implemented in all Australian states and regions for five years and has achieved many results.At the same time,Australia has followed the footsteps of the United States and Britain,and has been paying great attention to the extensive training of information technology talents in the information age.As one of the sevens general abilities that need to be cultivated,ICT capabilities have received extensive attention.This paper uses the Australian National Curriculum Outline as the main research content to do research,and analyze the ICT capacity development measures implemented by the Australian education department.This thesis mainly uses the literature analysis method,case analysis method and comparative analysis method.It mainly analyzes the content of ICT ability training from three aspects,including the Australian national syllabus,the integration of school subject education and ICT ability,and the ICT ability assessment.The Research has shown that the Australian Department of Education has set up a number of content in the syllabus to develop students' ICT skills.These contents are based on the technology learning area,and integrate with other subject areas.Thus forming a relatively complete training system.Australia's basic education pays great attention to cultivating the ICT ability of primary and secondary school students.The government has invested a great number of resources in the development of ICT ability and integrated ICT education into school education.And every three years,the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority held a national sample test to test the results of school ICT education,and is beneficial for further reforms.The various initiatives and reforms of Australia's ICT capacity training can provide a new perspective and development direction for China's information technology education.This paper summarizes its advantages and feasible actions,which can be used for reference in the construction and training of information technology courses for primary and middle school students in China,and promote the overall construction and development of information technology courses in China.
