At the beginning of this century,the study of subject core literacy began to rise in the field of education.It is the trend of global education development that education changes from knowledge-based orientation to core literacy era.The main goal of junior middle school physics education is to cultivate students' physics core literacy,and the physics teaching design of junior middle school is bound to make corresponding changes.HPS(History philosophy and sociology of science)and the essence of science have a history of nearly a hundred years.The national physics curriculum standard of our country puts forward that compulsory education physics curriculum is the goal of improving the scientific literacy of all students as the basic curriculum of natural science.HPS refers to the history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science.The main purpose of HPS education is to improve the understanding of the essence of science through the thought of history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science,which is suitable for cultivating students' core literacy.This paper carries out researches and analysises from the perspective of HPS,which aims to promote the development of HPS education and cultivate students' core literacy.The development of HPS education as one of the important functions of teaching materials,the layout,volume and use of its content in teaching materials have a direct impact on the quality of HPS education.According to the requirements of HPS education in the current physics curriculum standards of junior middle school in China,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the scientific history contents of the five representative versions of electromagnetics in junior middle school physics teaching materials.Through the comparative analysis of the electromagnetics part of the five editions of junior middle school physics teaching materials,this paper provides a reference for the compilers of teaching materials in our country to compile and revise the junior middle school physics teaching materials.As well as providing references for the front-line junior high school physics teachers who work hard to select teaching materials and cultivate students' core literacy.This paper is divided into five parts.The preface introduces the background of this study,the purpose and significance of the study,the problems of the study,the domestic and foreign situation of the study,the research methods,the content of the study,and introduces the concept of HPS education and the basic teaching model.The second part introduces the main six theoretical basis of this paper.The third part is the research object,tools,framework and analysis methods,processes are described.The fourth part focuses on the comparative analysis of the content of the history of science in HPS in the five versions of junior high school physics textbooks,and carries on a teaching design based on HPS.The fifth part is the conclusion,the suggestion and the reflection.The study has found that the compilation of five versions of junior high school physics teaching materials is involved in HPS education.As for the extent of attaching importance to HPS education,the electromagnetic part of each edition of the teaching materials meets the requirements of the syllabus and curriculum standards.Only by increasing the capacity of the history of science in textbooks can the history of science be presented in a real and vivid form in textbooks.In order to cultivate the core literacy in the teaching materials,the development of HPS education should not be open to volunteers,but for all students.The secondary development of school-based teaching materials is an important supplement and realization way to carry out HPS education and cultivate students' core literacy at present.For example,the fourth part of the design of the case using other versions of the physics textbook in the history of science content for supplementary teaching.So the majority of front-line physics teachers should first study the scientific essence education,and then consciously carry out the integrated education of scientific essence,thirdly they should refer to the cases,finally,they need to make full use of HPS teaching mode.
