Novice physics teachers have entered their career and are in the transition period of mastering the basic skills and instructional common sense and adapting the role of teachers.That is the key stage of professional development and it is also period of a rapid promotion of the professional skills,which affects the professional tendency and career persistence for novice teachers.Based on facts and experiments,attaching importance of observation and experiments and combining theories with practice,physics is a theoretical system to explain the most common phenomena and interaction mechanism in nature.Physics instruction lays the foundation for students.Physics course is the important way to improve scientific literacy of students.Teachers not only should grasp the basic characteristics,research methods and philosophy ideas,but know about the cognitive status of students and master the way of communication with students to teach by words and deeds in class.The instructional knowledge is practical and is further developed in the process of teaching practice.Therefore,there will be problems when the novice teachers start their instruction.Only by understanding the problems faced by novice teachers,can we help them develop better.Every teacher counters different problems due to their various knowledge,study experiences,philosophy opinions and instructional environments.In views of this,this paper conducts a case study of a novice teacher Y,in a key high school of Weifang and follows up a continuous observation and interviews after class to comprehensively inspect instructional institution.The paper combs problems from three aspects of new lessons,comment and assessment classes and after-class tutoring of Teacher Y:In teaching new lessons,she has the characteristics of teaching conclusions and lack of inquiry generation process;excessively summarizing methods;simply teaching and lack of practicality and interest in physics;lack of goal consciousness of students' learning effect due to the restriction of instruction schedule;poor physical application reserve and less popular science expansion knowledge;too much new content and neglect of students' original thinking;lack of guidance of learning methods;the inability to predict and break through the misunderstanding of students' thinking;incapacity of explaining unconventional problems,and the poor physical habits of the teacher herself.In comment and assessment classes,the teacher is insufficient in the three aspects of exercise thinking guidance,error attribution analysis,and the consciousness of training students' key physical ability a.In addition,there is a lack of analysis on the learning situation reflected in the test questions in the comment exercises,which are explained one by one with average effort.The design of comment and assessment classes is constrained by the teaching schedule.In the aspect of after-school tutoring,she neglected to guide students' physical learning difficulties,and also lacked the ability to find students' physical learning difficulties and guide students' attribution.Among those problems,Teacher Y's unique physical teaching problems are lack of inquiry in knowledge explanation,excessively summarizing methods,lack of practicality and interest in physical teaching,lack of guidance for students' physical learning methods,and inappropriate physical habits.Through observation of other physics novice teachers,it is known that they are common problems for other novice teachers of teaching physics restricted by teaching progress,lack of goal consciousness of learning effect,poor physical application knowledge reserve,teaching too much new content,neglect of students' original thinking,inability to predict students' thinking errors,lack of guidance of learning attribution skills and existing problems in comment and assessment classes.In the end,the paper puts forward the solutions to the problems such as lack of inquiry generation process in knowledge explanation,lack of thinking process analysis in teaching,lack of practicality and interest in teaching,poor physical problem-solving habits of teachers themselves,unreasonable time allocation in class,lack of correct physical teaching belief guidance,and further proposes the ways to improve the physical teaching ability of the beginning physical teachers.With the development of instruction,Teacher Y has improved and developed in her own physical instructional beliefs,teaching measures in teaching new lessons,evaluation measures in comment and assessment classes,and the use of the school's unique teaching conditions.It can be seen that in the process of teachers' growth,all are beneficial for novice teachers that the seminars,teaching forums and young teachers' competition measures adopted by the school and local education departments forming a positive impact to have a correct educational belief and learning excellent teaching strategies.However,encountering the problems in the process of teaching,teachers should make their own efforts to break through.
