Promoting the continuous improvement of the scientific quality of the people is an important fundamental task in building an innovative country.The four-dimensional goals of scientific knowledge,scientific inquiry,scientific spirit and science,technology,society and environment which were promoted by the “Compulsory primary school science curriculum standards”(2017)were similar to the interdisciplinary,experience,empirical of the core characteristics of STEM education.Scientific literacy is closely related to language,and the manifestation of language in science teaching is scientific writing.STEM education with scientific writing can promote students' understanding of STEM content,improve students' reflective ability and logical thinking ability,strengthen communication between teachers and students,and stimulate students' interest in STEM learning.This study organically combines STEM education with scientific writing in order to provide a new model for the implementation of STEM education.The first chapter mainly expounds the background and significance of the research topic,and clarifies the research contents and methods of this paper.By analyzing the research status of STEM education at home and abroad,it summarizes that the research contents of STEM education in foreign countries mainly focus on four aspects: theories,documents,practices and strategies related to STEM education.Research on STEM education in China has gone through the development process of the three stages,namely the preliminary study stage,the incubation stage and the flourishing stage.The second chapter firstly defines the theories related to STEM education activities and scientific writing,then summarizes the theoretical basis of this study,namely the theory of neo-constructivism,the theory of multiple intelligence and the theory of information processing,finally expounds the significance of the integration of scientific writing and STEM educational activities from three aspects:helpful to improve the students' scientific literacy,conducive to thespread and popularization of science and technology,the future STEM education development the inevitable trend.The third chapter mainly elaborates design idea of the elementary school higher grades STEM education activities,including the overall design ideas and STEM education activities design dimensions,integrates scientific writing and STEM education using into the integrated learning mode of design thinking by EDPIT model of design thinking learning mode,learning mode and elaborates on the fusion of the implementation of the main points,thus summarizes the STEM education activities should be interesting,experience,situational and research the four design principles and evaluation methods.The fourth chapter mainly designs and implements the STEM education activities of "steamboat" based on the above research.On the basis of the basic goals of STEM education,the specific teaching objectives of "steamboat" STEM education activities are formulated based on the classification method of four-dimensional goals of scientific new curriculum standards.Considering the interdisciplinary nature of STEM education,the "steamboat" interdisciplinary knowledge map of STEM educational activities was developed;and formed a complete "steamboat" STEM education activities case.According to the integrated learning mode of design thinking,the specific process design of "steamboat" STEM education activities was carried out,and a total of eight class hours were implemented for one month.Finally,the whole implementation process was elaborated and analyzed in detail through classroom observation and scientific writing.The fifth chapter summarizes the results of the activities through the analysis of students' questionnaire and the interview records of teachers and students.The questionnaire included three dimensions of students' attitudes,opinions and Suggestions on scientific writing in STEM education activities.The interviews were conducted with the students and the teachers respectively,so as to have an in-depth understanding of the real thoughts of teachers and students on scientific writing,and to provide reference and basis for the implementation of science teaching integrating scientific writing in the future.The sixth chapter mainly summarizes the research work of the whole paper,points out its shortcomings,and looks forward to the development trend of STEM education in the future.The results show that in the teaching practice of scientific writing,on the basis of promotingstudents' understanding of scientific concepts,scientific writing improves students' reflective ability and logical thinking ability,strengthens the communication between teachers and students,and stimulates students' interest in STEM learning.Through questionnaires and interviews analysis between teachers and students,found that the teachers and students can further identification scientific writing plays an important role in science class,due to a variety of realistic,scientific writing,there are many difficulties in the implementation process,the good news is that some science teachers in their own education field,begin to try some specific methods for scientific writing,and provide some reference experiences for the other teacher.
