In recent years,the proportion of professional degree education in the structure of graduate education has become more and more important,and the group of professional degree postgraduates is growing.Meanwhile,major identity problems also arise.Major identity means learners' acceptance and recognition of their major.It can indicate a state also a process.Professional education is designed to foster high-lever asset who has the ability to solve practical problems.A student's major is closely related to his post-graduation career.At the same time,students,as consumers of higher education products,only when they highly identify with their major,then the value of the "educational product" of professional degree education can be truly reflected.However,at present,there are problems such as the low level of major identity and the negative attitude of students to devote themselves to professional learning.It is of practical significance to explore the major identity of the students.In this paper,adapted the scale as a research tool,selected 450 professional degree postgraduate students of Nanjing Agricultural University as subjects.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested by AMOS17.0,and the Major identity model and the influencing factor model of Major identity were fitted,and the statistical results were analyzed by SPSS20.0.Through the analysis of 450 students and related survey data,understand the present situation of major identity of professional degree postgraduate students.The results show that 1)61%students are "general identity" and the following level,and the overall lever of most postgraduates is not very high.2)Through analyzing the different demographic variables,found that there are many differences in the degree of major identity.Using SPSS20.0 to construct the Linear regression equation between the degree of Major identity and the influencing factors.Through the analysis of statistical results and regression model,it is concluded that social recognition,training process,employment prospect which significantly influences the degree of major identity.We can draw the following main conclusion:1)the employment prospect of major is the most important factor influencing major identity.2)the course of major,the tutors' guidance,teaching methods,practice links,and teaching management also affects to a great extent.3)the influence of social recognition is weaker than the others.In view of the main influencing factors that restrict the degree of major identity of professional degree postgraduate students,this paper puts forward the following solution path:1)students improves their learning autonomy.Before applying for an degree,choose the major carefully;after entering the school,participate in professional study actively.2)promote the link between professional education and employment.3)colleges should perfect the training process,perfect the curriculum,strengthen the tutor's guidance,improve the teaching method,enrich the practice link,improve teaching management.4)colleges and universities strengthen professional propaganda and professional education.It is expected that through these strategies,the degree of major identity of students can be effectively improved and the quality of professional degree education will be improved.
