| At present,China's postsecondary education is already in the post-massification stage,and how to make postsecondary education smoothly trans from the postmassification stage to lifelong learning stage has attracted much attention.The schooling form structure is a decisive factor for the smooth transition of postsecondary education to lifelong learning stage,how to allocate the proportion of "horizontal expansion" and " longitudinal extension " in the enrollment of postsecondary education is the focus and key of this process.The core of optimizing schooling form structure in postsecondary education is the expansion of "longitudinal extension".American postsecondary education has been successfully integrated into lifelong learning stage,in which information technology has made remarkable achievements in expanding " longitudinal extension ".Therefore,this paper attempts to study the specific situation of using information technology to expand " longitudinal extension " in America,which will be of reference to China's use of information technology to promote the increase of the " longitudinal extension " ratio.Based on this,taking the information technology and the schooling form structure in the post-massification stage as the research object,by using the methods of literature analysis and comparative research,this paper makes an in-depth study on the motivation and exploration of using information technology to optimize schooling form structure in the post-massification stage of America,and gains important enlightenment from it.This paper puts forward some thoughts on using information technology to optimize the schooling form structure in post-massification stage in China.The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,American postsecondary education encountered a development dilemma during the transition to the post-massification stage.Due to the historical inertia of postsecondary education development and the new problem in the post-massification stage in America,American postsecondary education has encountered bottlenecks such as structural overload of postsecondary education,shortage of resources for postsecondary education,and a single form of traditional postsecondary education.Secondly,in order to accelerate the expansion of " longitudinal extension ",America has made useful explorations in the use of information technology.Establishing various forms of distance education organization to expand the learning opportunities of adult students;adjusting course offerings of distance higher education to increase the learning choices of adult students;reforming the teaching methods of distance higher education to improve the learning outcomes of adult students.Thirdly,the American experience provides important inspiration for our country.The existing school system should still be at the center of the distance higher education network,the government should focus on the promotion of lifelong learning through the development of distance higher education,the reform of distance higher education courses and teaching should be synchronized with the update of technology,the implementation of distance higher education should focus on strengthening the emotional connection with learners.Fourthly,the idea of using information technology to optimize schooling form structure in the post-massification stage in China.First,it is urgent to optimize the structure of schooling form and strive to expand longitudinal extension.This is not only the need to realize the shift of the focus of postsecondary education development,but also the need for the transformation of postsecondary education to the post-massification stage and the integration of postsecondary education institutions into the lifelong education system.Second,the use of information technology is an inevitable choice for optimizing the structure of the schooling form structure.It can expand the channels for people to participate in postsecondary education,effectively meet the individualized educational needs,and promote comprehensive and profound changes in postsecondary education.Third,information technology should be used to innovate knowledge dissemination methods to expand the potential learning opportunities for adult students;reshape teaching systems to adapt to the learning characteristics of adult students;and innovate the types of higher education institutions to enable adult students to study flexibly. |
