Ideological and political work serves as the lifeline for all the work of colleges and universities,and counselors are the backbone for the ideological and political education for college students in the frontline.With heavy workload and responsibilities,counselors play a critical role in guiding and leading students to grow and become elites.With China's socialist construction stepping into a new era at present,the education and management of college students face a new trend.In order to cope with new challenges and resolve new problems,counselors must become occupational and professional,which is the inevitable development trend.The work nature of counselors decides the diversified working circumstances and multiple career challenges.In order to develop towards occupation and professionalism,higher requirements have been proposed for counselors' occupational ability and stability.To improve counselors' occupational career resilience would help them better cope with all challenges they meet and is of great significance to improve their work quality,occupational career development quality and occupational and professional construction.By taking vocational motivation theory and occupational career cycle theory as the theoretical basis,this paper discusses relevant issues on counselors' occupational career resilience under the occupational situation.The occupational career development of college counselors is divided into four stages under the guidance of occupational career cycle theory and based on the understandings on the occupational career development of the counselors: Preliminary stage(1-5 years of experience),middle period(5-10 years of experience),middle and later stage(10-15 years of experience)and later stage(above 15 years of experience);the main characteristics and prominent challenges of all stages are analyzed respectively.It can be concluded by theory construction and dimension verification that: The occupational career resilience of college counselors is a two-layer structure,which includes eight factors including professional ability,career planning,career acquisition,career belonging,work atmosphere,development opportunities,support from companion and relations between teachers and students,as well as four dimensions including professional quality,occupational emotion,professional environment and occupational relations.Measurement Sheet of Occupational Career Resilience of College Counselor is also prepared.The current status of college counselors' occupational career resilience is understood by questionnaire survey,and the difference of the resilience in terms of marital status,educational background,years of working,title,job level,type of colleges and universities they work for and profession of the responsible students are analyzed.This study also explores the impact of three environmental factors,namely,development policy implementation,learning platform and opportunity,and mental health management,on the career resilience of college counselors.Based on the above research,the self-improvement strategy of college counselors' career resilience is put forward: active learning and continuous improvement of professional ability;scientific planning and good career management;active management and maintenance of good professional relations.Put forward the organizational management strategy of college counselors' career resilience: improve the counselor training system;pay attention to the psychological health of counselors;optimize the organizational atmosphere and culture.
