For the study of physical education in ancient schools in China,it can be called the study of the "source" of current social physical education.The research on the evolution characteristics and motives of physical education in ancient schools can be called the "spring" research of modern physical education reform.The starting point of the current reform of school physical education is to reject traditional physical education and abandon traditional school physical education,and to turn to the exploration of traditional physical education and the essence of traditional education.Do not deny the promotion of foreign advanced physical education theory to the reform of school physical education in China,but firmly believe that the content of physical education rooted in the 5,000-year-old Chinese land will have an incomparable impact on the current social physical education reform.So this research will focus on the ancient times and the vast traditions.Through literature,archeology,logic analysis,etc.,approaching our primitive society,slave society,feudal society,sports,education,school sports,and based on educational content,educational approaches and educational values,it explains the evolution characteristics of ancient school physical education in China,and through political,economic,cultural,educational,military and other analysis of the factors leading to these characteristics,in order to explore its contemporary value,it will play a certain reference for the current reform of physical education and continuously promote the reform of school physical education.The following conclusions are reached through research and relevant suggestions are given:First,in the primitive society period,people's production and life were closely related to sports activities.The slave society period was the period of the formation and development of education and physical education.The feudal society period was orthodox.School physical education in different periods has different times.In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,school physical education shouldclosely focus on the new era and new requirements.Second,the content of education is from the distinctive production and life of the primitive society,to the beginning of the slave society,which showed the compatibility of culture and martial arts,and then to the supremacy of Confucianism during the feudal society.The educational approach ranged from the natural and non-institutional characteristics of the primitive society,to the standardization and institutionalization of the slave society,to the diversification of the feudal society.Educational values range from the sociality of the primitive society to the military,class,and service characteristics of the slave society,and then to the feudal society,which basically showed the characteristics of serving the feudal regime.The evolving characteristics of educational content,educational channels,and educational values in different social periods are due to the attributes of the social period.In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,school physical education content,educational channels,and educational values should also be adapted to society and serve the development of society in the new era.Third,ancient social politics promoted and determined the development and direction of school sports;ancient social economy provided the material basis and guarantee for school sports;ancient social culture cultivated fertile soil for the development of school sports;ancient social education influenced sports in terms of systems,theories,and thoughts;the military in ancient society greatly promoted the development of physical exercise and physical activity.Motivations such as politics,economy,culture,education,and military have affected the development of school sports to varying degrees.In today's society,school sports should form a mutually-promoting relationship with these motivations,to maximize the role of sports in national progress,national prosperity,economic development,enriching social culture,promoting education and comprehensive development of students,and promoting the introduction of military personnel.
