The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward for the first time that the fundamental task of education is to cultivate people with moral standing and develop quality-oriented education.While attaching importance to students' mastery of knowledge,more and more attention is paid to the cultivation of students' cognitive structure and learning ability,and the pursuit of students' essential character and key ability.Open teaching requires the establishment of an open teaching system,which takes students as the main body and advocates that students learn independently,cooperatively and exploringl y under the guidance of teachers.To democratic equal relationship between teachers and students,democratic and harmonious classroom atmosphere as the foundation,in order to improve the students' comprehensive quality as the goal,according to the students' cognitive ability,cognitive level and actual needs,interests,characteristic to carry on the teaching design and teaching,increase the interaction,pertinence and flexibility of teaching,to provide more effective teaching strategy choice.However we are currently teaching there are some problems,such as emphasis on imparting knowledge,ignoring the learning process and learning methods,and the cultivation of students' emotional attitude values,there are still some deficiencies in the open teaching,need to be further perfect,therefore,to study the open teaching of high school geography has strong practical significance.This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and statistical analysis.Firstly,the research background and significance are proposed based on a large number of relevant literatures,and the research direction,ideas and methods are determined based on the research status at home and abroad.Secondly,related concepts are defined and theoretical basis is analyzed.Thirdly,questionnaires were used to investigate the current situation of open teaching for teachers and students,and the data were statistically analyzed by Excel and SPSS.Fourthly,according to the literature research and the actual investigation results,the application countermeasures such as updating educational concepts are put forward.Fifth,according to the theoretical research,investigation and implementation of countermeasures,combined with the people's Education edition of the content of compulsory 2 design case.Finally,the main conclusions are summarized and the innovation,deficiency and prospect of the research are put forward.Based on the questionnaire of xincai at this stage the first senior middle school students,analyzing the present situation and problems of geographic study found that the students are interested in geography learning more,but learn geography is still given priority to with mechanical training,lack of good geographical thought and geographical method,students expect the rich variety of teaching contents,flexible and varied teaching methods,etc.,and the present teachers' teaching and students are looking forward to have a certain gap.Based on the questionnaire survey of teachers,it is found that although teachers have a comprehensive understanding of the connotation of open teaching and realize that open teaching has more positive impact on the development of students,there are still some problems in the specific teaching practice,such as the achievement of teaching objectives is not comprehensive enough,teaching content to be enriched,etc..Through the investigation,it is found that the causes of these problems come from the society,schools,teachers and other aspects.Improve teaching objectives;Enrich the teaching content,actively explore,grasp various open teaching resources;Open teaching process;Optimizing teaching methods and means;Improve the teaching evaluation system.According to the application countermeasures of open teaching in high school geography,this paper selects the compulsory course ii of High school Geography,Agricultural Location Selection(The first period),published by People's Education Edition,for teaching design,in order to provide reference for other teachers to apply open teaching.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows :(1)the level of open teaching should be improved;(2)Lack of corresponding hardware facilities and long-term exam-oriented education are important factors affecting the implementation of open teaching;(3)Put forward the strategy of implementing open geography teaching in senior high school.Innovation: innovation in research perspective.There are many theoretical researches on open teaching,but there is a lack of empirical research.This paper USES questionnaires,interviews and other methods to make a detailed investigation and analysis of the application status quo and existing problems of open teaching and carries out countermeasures.
