The establishment and continuous development of traditional sports schools have provided a large number of reserve talents for the excellent sports teams and sports colleges at all levels,which has played a positive role in the development of sports and education in China.Badminton is a kind of small ball game which is held in and out of the room.It is suitable for people of different ages.Since the 1980s,Chinese athletes have won various world?class badminton titles for many times by virtue of their superb technology and varied playing methods,which has established the position of Chinese badminton in the world badminton.Therefore,it has stepped into a period of resplendence for badminton in China.There are many factors to maintain the high level of development of badminton in China,among which the most important one is youth sports.Badminton traditional project school is also one of many sports traditional project schools.Historically,Wuxi has provided excellent talents for Jiangsu Provincial badminton team and national badminton team,such as Gu Jun,the Olympic women's doubles champion.The emergence of these outstanding talents and ultimately win honor for the provincial or national teams are all benefited from the enlightenment and training of badminton traditional project school,one of the badminton reserve talents training bases.In order to train a better Badminton Reserve Talents in Wuxi.Taking 13 traditional badminton sports schools in Wuxi as the object,this paper analyzes the current situation of their badminton development by means of literature,interview and investigation,and tries to find out the problems existing in the development of badminton in Wuxi traditional badminton sports schools,and to develop sustainable development of Wuxi traditional badminton sports schools Optimization suggestions.The survey concluded as follows:(1)The distribution of 13 badminton traditional project schools in Wuxi is not very balanced.The number of badminton traditional project schools in urban area is significantly more than that in Jiangyin and Yixing.In Wuxi,there are 13 badminton traditional project schools,12 primary schools,1 junior high school and no senior high school.It leads to the phenomenon of "fault" in the distribution of school sections.(2)Wuxi traditional badminton school has 56 indoor badminton venues,69 sports teams,41 men's teams and 28 women's teams.Among them,there are 11 men's teams and 7 women's teams in U8 group,9 men's teams and 6 women's teams in u9 group,7 men's teams and 5 women's teams in U10 group,8 men's teams and 6 women's teams in U11 group,6 men's teams and 4 women's teams in U12 group.There are 281 athletes in total.In the two years from 2018 to 2019,13 badminton traditional project schools have financial support for participating in competitions and events related to competitions,and organize all athletes of the school to participate in municipal badminton competitions.There are 30 badminton players to Wuxi badminton team and 7 badminton players to Jiangsu badminton team,37 in total.It is based on the existing scale of Wuxi badminton traditional project school from 2018 to 2019,the achievements of the athletes trained in the municipal,provincial and national competitions,as well as the number of talents sent to the municipal and provincial sports teams,Wuxi badminton traditional project school has made great contributions to the evaluation of Wuxi Sports school as the "national badminton reserve talent base".(3)Wuxi badminton traditional project school has a high degree of training coaches,mainly physical education teachers with national teachers,supplemented by external coaches,who have received systematic physical education,and are competent for badminton primary stage teaching.However,there are unreasonable phenomena in the age and gender of the coach team.Moreover,there is a serious lack of organized and formal training and further study.(4)In terms of age group,the construction of u8?u12 group is reasonable,but there is imbalance in gender distribution.The training time and frequency of the athletes should be kept at the normal level.The purpose of participating in the training is basically the same as that of the parents:first,exercise,second,cultivate interests and hobbies,enrich after?school life,and then become a special student or take a professional path.As far as the cognition of sports training and cultural learning is concerned,there are different understandings between the students and their parents:most of the students think that participation does not affect cultural learning,while half of the parents think that training will affect cultural learning.In view of the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)The school should not only focus on the games or tournaments held by the provincial and Municipal Education Bureau or sports bureau,but also encourage and support coaches and athletes to participate in more non official competitions.For example,school level,district level and amateur youth national U series competition.(2)It is suggested to carry out unified and formal professional training for the coach.The school should not only rely on the official training platform approved by the school,such as the provincial education department and the Provincial Sports Bureau.The school should focus on the badminton market and the coach training courses held by the provincial and municipal badminton associations of China.(3)Parents should be taken into account in the selection of badminton students,training,learning and competition.
